🌿 What are Milia? 🌿

Have you ever noticed tiny white or yellowish bumps on your skin that won't "pop" no matter what you do? These are often milia.

🔍 What causes milia?
Milia occur when keratin (a protein naturally found in the skin) becomes trapped beneath the surface. They are not caused by poor hygiene and can affect people of all ages.

📍 Where do they commonly appear?
• Around the eyes
• Cheeks
• Forehead
• Nose

❌ Milia are NOT:
• Whiteheads
• Acne
• Caused by dirty skin

⚠️ Please don't pick at them.
Trying to remove milia at home can damage the skin and may lead to scarring or infection.

✅ How are they treated?
Milia can often be safely removed by a trained skin professional using specialised techniques. Regular exfoliation and using appropriate skincare products may also help reduce the likelihood of new milia forming.

Hyperpigmentation is a very common skin concern that causes patches of skin to appear darker than the surrounding area. It occurs when excess melanin (the pigment that gives our skin its colour) is produced.

Some common causes include:
