I'm attending something this July that I think many of you may find valuable.

I'll be joining Breakthroughs International - Online Connect 2026, a three-day online event bringing together educators and practitioners from around the world. The focus is on nervous system regulation, movement-based learning, and practical tools for stress, learning, and burnout.

I'm also delighted to be presenting at this conference and hope to see some familiar faces there!

Highlights include:
• Two keynote presentations
• Daily movement sessions with Gail E. Dennison (co-creator of Brain Gym®)
• Workshops in Brain Gym®, Developmental Kinesiology (DevKi), Movement Based Learning (MBL), LEAP, and RESET

✨ 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐨 𝐑𝐚𝐝𝐨 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 ✨

Many of you joined us earlier this year for The Divergent Meridians and The 9 Pains of the Heart.

The response was overwhelming! Because of the enthusiastic feedback and the many requests to bring Marco back, I am delighted to share that he will be joining us again this October with a brand-new online course:

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝟓 𝐏𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the 5 Pillars are five important muscles that play a major role in posture and structural alignment.

In this training, Marco will explore the relationship between the 5 Pillars, the Extraordinary Organs, the Extraordinary Meridians, and the body's three major cavities: the abdomen, thorax, and head.

You will learn practical methods to assess and balance these systems using the Extraordinary Meridians Dai Mai and Du Mai, along with the Three Yang Primary Meridians of the Foot.

This simple and practical approach can be applied to many common postural imbalances, muscular tensions, and emotional stress patterns.

📅 October 20 & 27, 2026
💻 Online via Zoom
🎥 Recording included for those unable to attend live

Early Bird Investment: $195 AUD (until August 1, 2026)
Regular Investment: $275 AUD

Whether you're continuing the journey from The Divergent Meridians and The 9 Pains of the Heart or discovering Marco's work for the first time, we'd love to have you join us.

Research shows that we spend almost half of our waking life not fully paying attention to what we’re doing.

Almost 47%.

And when the mind is not present… we are actually less happy.
A wandering mind really is an unhappy mind.

Most of the time, this happens without us even realising it.

We read a page and don’t remember it.
We’re in a conversation but not fully there.
We move through the day on autopilot.

It’s how the brain works when awareness is not being trained.

The question is not just why this happens…but whether we ever learn how to come back.

If you’d like to understand this more deeply, this is exactly what we begin to explore in Simply the Brain and LEAP Brain Integration.

For many years, glial cells were thought to be little more than “support cells” for neurons.

Now neuroscience is revealing something far more interesting.

Glial cells appear deeply involved in:

inflammation processes

myelination

timing and synchrony

synapse regulation

neurological stability

brain clearing systems

memory processes

environmental brain responses

The more we understand the brain, the clearer it becomes that neurons are only part of the story.

This area of neurology became so fascinating to me that I recorded LEAP FT 3 – Glial Cells, a 4-day training exploring the “other half” of the nervous system and its relationship to brain integration.

One of the most interesting discoveries within LEAP was recognising that neuronal integration and glial cell integration are not the same process, yet both profoundly influence brain function and neurological efficiency.

For practitioners interested in neurology, inflammation, brain stress, learning, emotional regulation, and deeper brain integration work, this course opens a completely different way of understanding the nervous system.

The course was prerecorded in 2022 and remains available online. Link in the comments.

In this video, Charles explores the fascinating concept of hypoxia, brain stress, and “idling neurons.”

Watch the video by clicking this link: https://simplythebrain.com/2026/03/31/understanding-hypoxia-and-brain-recovery-in-leap-brain-integration/

One of the things I always appreciated about Charles’ teaching was his ability to bridge neurology, learning, kinesiology, and practical clinical understanding in a way that invited curiosity rather than fear.

This conversation opens important questions around:

brain adaptation
recovery
overwhelm
learning challenges
neurological efficiency
functional integration

A fascinating watch for anyone interested in LEAP and brain integration.

If you’d like to explore these concepts more deeply, take the LEAP courses, link in the comments.

I’ve been reflecting lately on how much energy it takes to grow something meaningful.

Whether it’s a business, a relationship, your health, your family, or even a new understanding of yourself…

Growth asks something of us.

It asks for time.
Attention.
Consistency.
Patience.

But I’m also realising that growth needs more than effort alone.
It needs the right conditions.

A seed can hold incredible potential, but if the environment around it is constantly working against it, growth becomes harder than it needs to be.

I think people are often the same.

Sometimes we push harder when what we actually need is more support.
More rest.
More nourishment.
More clarity.
Better boundaries.
A healthier environment.

Not everything struggling is failing.
Sometimes it’s simply trying to survive in conditions that don’t allow it to fully thrive.

It’s made me reflect on what I’m currently cultivating in my own life, and whether I’m creating the space for those things to truly grow.

What are you trying to grow right now?

These themes are something we explore deeply in Simply the Brain 2, particularly through the relationship between stress, adaptation, the brain, and the body glands.

A beautiful area of study for practitioners wanting a more integrated understanding of the body. You can learn more through the link in comments.

Emotions aren’t random, they’re signals.
And your brain? It’s the control center, responding to your internal and external world 24/7.

Together, let’s explore how your brain, body, and hormones are always communicating and how you can learn to listen.

I see so many practitioners doing good work…
but feeling unsure with complex cases, circling the same patterns, or wondering what they’re missing.

It’s usually because what they’ve learned hasn’t been fully integrated yet.

Not everyone who’s interested is ready to do that work and that’s okay. My teaching is for practitioners who are committed and ready for clarity that holds.

I teach how the brain, body, glands, and emotions work together so you can stop guessing and trust what you’re doing.

If that sounds like you, I have courses where I’ll show the missing piece I see most often in practice.

No pressure. Just clarity.
