Kinesiologists, and students.
Very occasionally, I feel the call to offer mentoring sessions.
Heartland is in its fourth year, and in that time I have worked with a lot of people and a lot of different scenarios.
Classes are invaluable, however RTOs cannot teach you about the real life, in the trenches challenges that you will inevitably face.
You have all seen the show MASH right?
That... But more energetic and emotional bleeding out than the physical.
Remember - if they are coming to you, there is a solid chance that they have exhausted nearly every other option... are you ready for that? Because its a lot. And nobody talks about it!
How these sessions may assist you as you take further steps to navigate the minefields that absolutely lay before you include the following...
1. Session reviews... what you did, and what you might have missed, and what you can take away from it.
2. Approaches... in session, pre session, followups and client management.
3. Advertising, and self promotion... getting out of the rut and being more true to yourself.
4. Navigating your triggers.
5. Client communication
6. Demonstrating and communicating Kinesiology
7. Maintaining healthy boundaries.
8. Knowing when to continue, and when to dis-continue sessions.
The list goes on.
If I have the right people taking this opportunity, which has no lock in, is session to session on an as needed basis, and is post paid at $135 for an hour session (in person, or remote), then I will continue them.
My only prerequisite is for clients to have a real willingness to look at themselves... because running a Kinesiology Practice is a very challenging role. I don't determine what you taking yourself on looks like. I'm just asking that people recognise and respect what is on offer here.
I wish I had access to this when I was coming up.
Nobody is doing it. These are not kinesiology sessions.
Or... you can choose the school of hard knocks and figure it out for yourselves (completely valid, and is exactly what I did).
It's here until it's not. But if I start something with you, we will be seeing it through until you feel like you have learned what you can from it.
If this resonates, reach out.
It's a big opportunity.
