Perpetual Wellbeing - Naturopaths & Nutritionists We are Naturopaths and Nutritionists - our aim is to help you be healthy and have a better quality o

Naturopathic and nutritional medicine is a blend of natural therapies tested over time and supported by the best available scientific evidence. It does not just address symptoms or try to suppress them, but looks for the cause in order to resolve the imbalance. This may mean relying on supplementation and herbal medicine for treatment, we strive to use natural options that are the least invasive as the primary option.

Ask me again next week, and I may have a completely different answer… but right now, THIS is the health myth I would love to retire. 🌿

“Your iron is low? You must have heavy periods, or you’re not eating enough steak.”

If only it were always that simple.

Heavy menstrual bleeding and inadequate dietary iron absolutely can contribute to low iron—but they’re not the only possibilities.

When I see low or repeatedly declining iron, I’m also thinking about questions such as:

🌿 Are we absorbing the iron being consumed?
🌿 Could gut health or a condition such as coeliac disease be affecting absorption?
🌿 Is there another source of blood loss that needs medical investigation?
🌿 Are the body’s iron requirements currently higher?
🌿 And most importantly—do we actually understand WHY this person’s iron is low?

Sometimes replacing iron is an important part of the plan.

But I don’t want the conversation to stop there.

Persistent, recurrent or unexplained low iron deserves appropriate assessment—not an assumption that you just need more steak.

If you feel like you keep addressing the number without anyone stepping back to look at the bigger picture, I’d love to help you explore it alongside appropriate medical care.

“I have hope again.” 🌿

Of all the things patients say after their first appointment with Amy, this is her personal favourite.

And it’s often followed by:

“I can’t believe nobody has looked into this before.”
“Thank you for actually listening to me.”

Because when you’ve been living with symptoms for months—or even years—sometimes what you need first is to feel heard.

Amy Angus is an experienced Clinical Naturopath with over 7 years of clinical experience and a special interest in women’s health, endometriosis, PMDD, PMOS (PCOS), persistent pain and gut health.

Her approach is thoughtful, evidence-informed and individualised. She takes the time to hear the whole story, explore the patterns and look at the factors that may be contributing to how you feel.

If you’ve been wondering whether there could be more to your symptoms, perhaps it’s time for a fresh set of eyes.

You deserve to feel heard. You deserve to have your questions taken seriously. And you deserve a plan that considers you as a whole person.

What does a day in Amy’s clinic actually look like? 🌿

The answer is: rarely the same twice.

In a single day, Amy might be supporting someone struggling with PMDD, reviewing a comprehensive microbiome test, exploring factors contributing to gout or persistent musculoskeletal pain, and working with another patient on weight, metabolism and low energy.

Different symptoms. Different health histories. Different goals.
And that’s exactly why Amy loves naturopathy.

Rather than approaching every patient with the same solution, Amy takes the time to understand the bigger picture—your symptoms, history, lifestyle, nutrition and the factors that may be influencing how you feel.

With more than 7 years of clinical experience, she brings both breadth of knowledge and a genuinely individualised approach to every consultation.

So if your health feels complicated, if several things seem to be happening at once, or if you simply feel like you haven’t found the answers you’re looking for, Amy may be a wonderful place to start.

🌿 A little change behind the scenes, but we're still here for you. 💚

Due to an unexpected family emergency, our wonderful Clinic Manager, Nevins, has had to travel overseas at very short notice.

While she's away, Caryn and Amy will be keeping everything running between patient appointments, with Addison and Nevins both working remotely (often at some very unusual hours!) to help answer emails, process orders and keep things moving behind the scenes.

You may notice slightly different reception hours this week, but please know our priority remains the same—making sure you're looked after.

📧 The best way to reach us is by email:
[email protected]

📞 If you call us on (07) 3075 7090, please leave a voicemail with your name and number. A real person will return your call as soon as possible—but if you don't leave a message, we may not realise you've tried to contact us.

Thank you for your patience, understanding and kindness while our small team works together to keep everything running smoothly. We truly appreciate your support and look forward to continuing to care for you. 💚

You don’t have to keep accepting debilitating symptoms as “just part of being a woman.” 🌿

Painful periods. Pelvic pain. Dramatic mood changes before your period. Irregular cycles. Persistent bloating or digestive discomfort.

These symptoms can affect your energy, confidence, relationships, work and quality of life—and you deserve support that looks beyond each symptom in isolation.

Amy Angus is particularly passionate about helping people with:
• Endometriosis—a condition that is deeply personal to her
• PMDD and severe premenstrual symptoms
• PMOS (PCOS) and complex hormonal concerns
• Persistent pain, particularly relating to reproductive health
• Gut health and the connection between digestion and whole-body wellbeing

Amy brings genuine empathy, clinical experience, and an individualised approach to every consultation. She takes the time to listen to your full story, explore the connections between your symptoms, and helps you understand what may be happening in your body.

If you’ve been feeling dismissed, overwhelmed or unsure where to begin, an appointment with Amy could be the supportive next step you’ve been looking for.

You don’t need to wait until your symptoms become even harder to manage.
