Beyond Asana; Establishing Dhyana.
Meditation and mindfulness is often recommended for stress reduction, anxiety and other ailments in modern medicine and psychology. However the practical aspects of meditation, such as how to sit for meditation or what to meditate on are important steps often not addressed appropriately to ensure the meditator has success.
In this LIVE webinar, Jyoti expounds the 7th limb of the 8 foot path (Ashtanga) of Yoga. "Dhyāna" means "contemplation, reflection" and "profound, abstract meditation". Many great works of literature have described these concepts, however meditation is not something that is intellectually understood through the act of reading.
In this 6 week course, Jyoti instructs the practical steps that can help one use the "tools" of yoga with discernment to achieve success and fulfilment in secular day-to-day-life; and begin the journey into fullness.
Tapas "
Designed to fit into the lives of everyday people with no prior experience in Yoga; classes are instructed via zoom early each morning to cultivate self-discipline & persistent perseverance, the vital steps that precede real "meditation" or "mindfulness".
The course is for all people and not a "teacher training" course. However a certificate of attendance can be issued if you wish to lodge continuing professional development (CPD).
