When you think of the world’s largest fertility conference, you might expect every conversation to be about the latest IVF technology and laboratory innovations… and there were certainly plenty of presentations on those topics.
But there were just as many conversations about nutrition, supplements, lifestyle, stress, inflammation, metabolic health and men’s fertility. These are the areas where we have the opportunity to make a real difference for our patients at Yin.
One message became clear throughout ESHRE: the future of fertility care isn’t just about improving IVF technology. It’s also about supporting the whole person before, during and alongside fertility treatment.
Swipe through for some of the lifestyle themes that stood out most to us - from diet and the microbiome to sleep, stress and men’s health.
One of the most encouraging moments was hearing acupuncture recognised as a supportive therapy for helping to reduce stress during fertility treatment. It’s exciting to see whole-person care - including acupuncture - becoming an increasingly recognised part of the fertility conversation.
So many of the conversations we’ve had at Yin for years are becoming an increasingly important part of mainstream fertility medicine. We’re looking forward to continuing to bring the latest evidence back to our team… and on to our patients!
