The Wanderer- 26/07/26. Clear Mountain Conservation Park.

Yesterday reminded me of something I think we all need to remember…

We are not prisoners to the lives we have created.

With each breath, each choice, each moment we become aware, we have the opportunity to choose again.

To soften.
To rest.
To trust.
To walk a different path.

Nature has an incredible way of gently reminding our nervous system of this. Without asking anything of us, she simply invites us back into rhythm. Into presence. Into ourselves.

Yesterday’s Wanderer was pure medicine.

We shared tea in the heart of a vast dry riverbed, surrounded by quartz and stone. A place where water once flowed, yet now holds an almost sacred stillness. Towering trees stretched high above us, their roots clinging to rocky banks where it seemed impossible for them to grow. Yet there they stood…. strong, unwavering, deeply rooted.

Our tea carried the medicine of nettle, mugwort, rose, tulsi and fresh ginger, warming our hands as we sat together amongst the stones.

As I looked around, I realised how much this place mirrors life.

We don’t always need to be overflowing to be fulfilled.

We don’t have to be operating at our maximum capacity to be worthy of love, rest or attention.

Like the river, there are seasons when our deepest medicine moves beneath the surface.

Like the trees, we can still stand tall, supported by roots we cannot always see.

And when we choose to notice the light filtering through the branches instead of everything we think is missing, something begins to soften.

Thank you to every woman who wandered with us yesterday.

Thank you for trusting the path.

And thank you to this beautiful land for reminding us that stillness is not emptiness…..it is its own kind of abundance.

Growth is rarely loud.

Healing is often invisible.

The strongest roots grow in silence.

Trust what is quietly unfolding within you.

✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
May you trust the seasons of your own becoming.

May you listen more often than you seek.

May your heart remain soft enough to hear the language of trees.

I found myself wondering recently…

How did we measure success before social media?

When I was growing up, we didn’t know how many followers someone had. We weren’t constantly exposed to everyone’s achievements, milestones or carefully curated moments.

So how did we decide who was successful?

Somewhere along the way, we’ve quietly begun measuring worth through numbers.

Followers.
Likes.
Views.
Comments.

As though these things could ever define the depth of a human being.

Our deeper knowing recognises that they don’t.

And yet… if we’re honest… enough time scrolling can leave us feeling behind.

Less than.

Not enough.

It creates a subtle sense of separation, as though everyone else has discovered something we haven’t.

But perhaps most of what we’re chasing isn’t actually the thing itself.

Perhaps it’s the feeling we believe it will give us.

Success.

Recognition.

Money.

Followers.

Beneath them all is often the same longing…

To feel worthy.

To feel enough.

To belong.

I’ve also noticed how easy it is to borrow someone else’s path.

We begin following what appears to be successful. We copy how they speak, what they create, how they build their business, hoping it will lead us to where we want to be.

And before we know it, we’ve wandered away from our own rhythm.

Our own medicine.

Our own voice.

The beautiful thing is…

People don’t connect most deeply with perfection.

They connect with presence.

You can feel when someone is creating from their heart.

You can feel when someone is deeply rooted in themselves.

That kind of authenticity can’t be manufactured.

It can only be remembered.

Maybe that’s the invitation.

To slow down.

To stop chasing for a moment.

To become quiet enough to hear your own voice again.

Because success, to me, isn’t becoming more like someone else.

It’s becoming more deeply yourself.

So perhaps instead of asking,

“Am I doing enough?”

Ask instead,

“Does this feel like me?”

Because when you live from that place, the numbers stop defining you.

And your presence begins to do the talking.

The Wanderer.
21.06.26.
A special winter solstice wander.

For this Wanderer we experimented with something new. We walked with music gently weaving through our headphones as the wilderness unfolded around us. The sounds seemed to dissolve the edges between ourselves and the landscape. The rhythm of our footsteps, the breath moving through our bodies, the music, the birds, the wind through the trees……….it all became one conversation.

The landscape was raw and untamed. Twisted roots, weathered bark, tangled vines, muddy tracks, still water. Nothing manicured. Nothing striving to be beautiful. And yet everything was.

The trees felt alive in a way that is difficult to explain. Not speaking in words, but in presence. In a quiet knowing.

There were moments where time seemed to stand still.

No rush.
No urgency.
No need to be anywhere else.

Just the simple act of wandering.

These Wanderers have become so incredibly special to me.

I am continually humbled by the awe these walks evoke. The way people begin noticing things they would normally walk straight past. The way we all quietly return. The way nature asks nothing of us except our presence.

And that beneath all the noise of modern life, there is still a part of us that understands the language of trees, the wisdom of water, and the medicine of moving slowly through the world.

To those who wandered with me today, thank you.❤️

These moments will remain with me always.

A big thank you to my Wandering companion Naomi Scott - I love this journey we are on together. 💕

All my love,
Ebony ❤️

WINTER SOLSTICE

The longest night.

The quiet turning.

A sacred threshold between what has been and what is yet to come.

While the world often encourages us to move faster, do more, and push forward, winter offers a different invitation.

To soften.

To wander more slowly.

To notice the beauty that has always been here.

The silver light of the moon.

The song of the wind through the trees.

The warmth of a cup held between your hands.

The comfort of a blanket.

The glow of candlelight.

The simple miracle of being alive.

Winter asks nothing of us.

It does not ask us to fix ourselves.

It does not ask us to understand anything.

It simply invites us to sit beside the fire for a while and remember that we belong here.

Part of the seasons.

Part of the earth.

Part of this great mystery unfolding around us.

Tonight, may you find a few moments to look up at the stars.

To breathe in the cool night air.

To listen to the quiet wisdom carried by the darkness.

May your heart be filled with wonder.

May beauty reveal itself in unexpected places.

May stillness find you.

May you feel held by the earth beneath your feet and the sky above your head.

And as the wheel begins to turn once more toward the light, may you carry forward the gifts of winter:

Presence.

Simplicity.

Wonder.

And the quiet knowing that this moment, just as it is, is enough.

All my love,
Ebony ❤️

May your days hold moments of beauty.

May your heart remain open to wonder.

May you remember to look up at the sky.

May you notice the songs hidden within ordinary moments.

May you walk gently upon this earth and feel its presence beneath your feet.

May you know the comfort of stillness.

May you know the warmth of sunlight upon your skin.

May you know the quiet companionship of trees, rivers, birds and stars.

May joy find you in unexpected places.

All my love,
Ebony ❤️❤️

Today’s pondering…

A child arrives in the world wild, curious, imaginative, and utterly themselves.

Then gradually they’re taught:

• Sit still.
• Pay attention.
• Don’t talk too much.
• Don’t be too emotional.
• Don’t be too sensitive.
• Don’t be too different.
• Follow the path.
• Achieve the milestones.
• Be productive.

For some people, those structures genuinely help them thrive.

For others, they spend years feeling like they’re failing at a game they never wanted to play.

Perhaps the problem isn’t always who we are.

Perhaps sometimes it’s the expectation that we should all be the same.

I’ve spent many years trying to make peace with the parts of myself that don’t fit neatly into the mould.

I’m messy. I’m creative. I’m distracted. I’m intense. I start things and don’t always finish them. I get overwhelmed. I retreat. I overthink.

This is part of my human experience.

Part of what makes me, me. ❤️

All my love,
Ebony.
