Sometimes it's never leaving the house without saying goodbye.

The people who shape us often don't realise they're doing it.

What's one lesson someone passed on that you're still carrying today?

For forty-three years, people knew him as the local electrician.

His apprentices knew something different.

He taught them to arrive early.

To clean up after every job.

To shake a customer's hand before they left.

Years later, many of those apprentices run businesses of their own.

The tools changed hands.

The standards didn't.

That's what he built.

Pop never set out to change the world.

He wasn't trying to create lifelong memories.

He was simply there.

Holding his grandchildren's hands.
Walking a little slower.
Taking the long way home.
Making time.

At the time, they were just ordinary walks.

Years later, we realise they were teaching us something far more important.

That love is often quiet.
That showing up matters.
And that the smallest moments can leave the greatest impact.

Pop probably never realised he was shaping a lifetime, one ordinary walk at a time.

He never set out to change the world.

He simply changed ours.

Because there's only one you.

We had the pleasure of hosting a group of Australian Federal Police at our Kate Mary Chapel, Bowen Hills as part of their Ceremonial & Protocol training week. Their standard of service excellence and attention to detail in the training exercises was remarkable.

20 years with Coorparoo Bowls Club has gone by in a minute. It has been a pleasure to sponsor them over this time and, as the photos below show, the camaraderie of these men and women filters through their competition. Visting bowlers from Holland Park club won the Bowl Pair day, which saw members from Beenleigh, Algester, Cleveland and Bulimba clubs come together.

Over the past 10 years we have loved working with the Corinda Bowls Club. Some 64 bowlers representing clubs at Algester, Graceville, Jindalee, Mt Gravatt, Salisbury, Sunnybank Social Club, Wellers Hill and of course Corinda came together yesterday for an end of year Christmas celebration. Delighted first place winners from the day are pictured below.
