🎉 Happy 5th Anniversary to Massage At Sanctuary! 🎉

5 years ago, I started this journey while juggling a corporate job, major life transitions, and studying for Remedial Massage Therapy. Massage was my sanctuary during those tough times, and I set out to build a calm space where you could step away from the noise and truly reset your mind, body, and spirit.

Today, I’m so grateful that this solo practice is my full-time life’s work.

To every client who has walked through my doors
—thank you. Every session and connection means the world to me. Thank you for supporting my small business! 🙇🏻‍♀️🌿✨

🌶️🍋🍬 The Flavours of Life — 酸甜苦辣

In Chinese, there is a beautiful expression 酸甜苦辣 (suān tián kǔ là) — the four flavours of life:
Sour. Sweet. Bitter. Spicy.

It describes the different experiences life brings us. And just like food, life isn't meant to taste the same every day. ❤️

🍬There are the sweet moments — birthdays, celebrations, new beginnings, and receiving a massage gift voucher from someone who cares. 🎁✨

🍋There are the sour moments — when things don't go quite the way we hoped.

☕The bitter moments — when life feels heavy, we're feeling down, or we're going through a difficult change.

🌶️And then there are the spicy moments — when life gets busy and overwhelming, juggling work, family, responsibilities… perhaps even three jobs at once.

I've been through my own share of life's ups and downs, so I understand that sometimes we don't need someone to fix everything.

Sometimes, we simply need a safe space to pause, breathe, reset and feel supported. 😌

That's why I believe massage is for any occasion.
You don't have to wait until you're in pain.😣

Whether you're celebrating a birthday, feeling a little down, navigating a major life change, carrying the weight of a busy week, or simply wanting to take better care of yourself — you are always welcome at my sanctuary. 🤍

I'm here to support you in caring for both your body and your resilience, through all the different flavours life brings.

Because life will always have its 酸甜苦辣.

You don't have to go through every flavour alone. 🌿❤️

✈️ A little away notice…

Massage At Sanctuary will be taking a short break from 2nd September until 15th September. Treatments will resume from 𝟭𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿✨

I'll be heading back to Hong Kong — the place I still call my hometown 🇭🇰❤️

It has been 7 years since I was last able to go back, so this trip feels especially meaningful to me. I'm looking forward to spending precious time with family, friends, revisiting familiar places and, of course, enjoying some of my favourite Hong Kong food! 🥢🥰

Thank you so much for your continued support and understanding. 💛

If you've been thinking about booking a treatment before I go away, I recommend securing your appointment early. Otherwise, I look forward to welcoming you back to the sanctuary from 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝟭𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿🌿✨

See you soon! 💕

🥶 Feeling the winter chill?

At Massage At Sanctuary, you don't have to. 🤎

Step onto the cosy heated massage bed, wrap yourself in warmth, and let the combination of remedial massage and hot stones melt away tension from head to toe.

Why do clients love a winter massage:
✨ Warms cold, tired muscles
✨ Helps ease muscle and joint stiffness
✨ Encourages healthy circulation
✨ Relieves stress and promotes deep relaxation ✨ Supports lymphatic flow
✨ Leaves you feeling relaxed, restored and recharged

Winter is the perfect season to slow down and truly unwind😌

If you've been thinking about treating yourself, consider booking a longer session. It gives your body time to completely relax, allows me to work more thoroughly on multiple areas of tension, and lets you simply enjoy the warmth and peaceful atmosphere without feeling rushed. 🧘🏻‍♀️

After all, once you're settled into a warm massage bed... you'll wish you had booked longer. 😉

🤕 Not all headaches are the same.

Recently, I attended a webinar with Dr Peter Tuchin on Headache Assessment and Treatment.

Common headaches include:
🌿 Tension headaches
🌿 Migraines
🌿 Cluster headaches
🌿 Cervicogenic headaches (originating from the neck)

Massage may help:
✨ Reduce muscle tension
✨ Manage stress
✨ Improve relaxation and wellbeing
✨ Support headache and migraine prevention

Many of my clients already include regular massage as part of their self-care routine to help manage neck and shoulder tension and reduce headache frequency.

⚠️ Massage may not be appropriate during an active migraine or cluster headache attack. However, it may be beneficial between episodes.

If headaches are affecting your quality of life, it's important to seek appropriate medical advice.

Have you noticed a connection between your headaches and stress, posture or neck tension? 🫶🏻
