☕️ Aphasia Connect Coffee Group ☕️

A relaxed and welcoming coffee group for people with aphasia, along with partners, family members, friends and carers.

Small group (up to 12 people). This helps everyone to feel supported.

Come along to:
- meet other people
- share stories
- enjoy a coffee
- connect with others in the aphasia community

The group will meet on the third Thursday of each month.

Free to attend - coffee, tea, and snacks are available to purchase.

Speech pathologist Jules Sax will be there for the first hour to support communication, introductions, and meeting others as needed.

Did you know that recognising the signs of a stroke can turn you into an everyday hero?🦸‍♂️

This National Stroke Week (August 3-9), we are jumping behind the Stroke Foundation’s “F.A.S.T. Heroes” campaign. Stroke can happen to anyone, at any age - but knowing the signs can completely change the outcome.

If you suspect a stroke, think F.A.S.T.
🚨Face: Has their face drooped on one side?
🚨Arms: Can they lift both arms, or is one drifting down?
🚨Speech: Is their speech slurred or mumbled?
🚨Time: Time is critical. If you see any of these signs, call 000 straight away.
