Communities are stronger when health knowledge is shared. 💙

It was fantastic to see local eye health education in action at Waminda Women's Health Clinic, where optometrist Shazaan Khambiye from George & Matilda Eyecare in Figtree helped community members understand the importance of regular eye examinations and recognising potential vision concerns in children, older Australians and those around them.

A fantastic World Sight Day at Waminda - South Coast Women's Health & Wellbeing Aboriginal Corp. talking all things eye health and community care. 👁️

Optometrist, Shazaan Khambiye, visited the centre to speak with community members about the importance of regular eye examinations and recognising the signs of eye conditions, both for themselves and for those around them, particularly children and older Australians.

Alongside retinal screenings, eye health education and nurse training, it was great to see so many local health professionals working together to support better community health outcomes.
