Be honest, do you actually know why you’re taking everything in your cabinet?

Most people don’t. A supplement gets added because a friend swore by it, someone online mentioned it, or it just felt like the “right” thing to do. Six months later, it’s still there, and nobody quite remembers what it was for or if it’s even doing anything.

This is exactly why I test before I prescribe. Not because more supplements are automatically better, but because knowing what your body actually needs and what it doesn’t is the difference between guessing and genuinely supporting your fertility.

If your cabinet could use an audit, that’s precisely what a proper assessment is for.

In 2019, a study published in the International Journal of Food Sciences and Nutrition tested 26 fish oil supplements sold in Australia. Four of the specially marketed products delivered significantly less omega-3 per capsule than standard fish oils, but cost considerably more per gram. And when they measured oxidation levels? No difference between the “premium” products and the regular ones.

I ran similar numbers myself on a few DHA and fish oil products I see often in clinic, working out cost per gram of DHA rather than cost per bottle. The spread was bigger than I expected, one pregnancy-marketed option worked out to nearly double the price per gram compared to a practitioner-grade alternative with the exact same active ingredient.

This isn’t about any one brand being “bad.” It’s the same message as always: the label doesn’t tell you the whole story. Dose, purity, freshness and transparent testing are what I actually look at, not what’s written across the front of the bottle.

What it’s really like working with me 👇

You’ve done the tests. You’ve been told everything looks ‘normal.’ And you’re still not pregnant, still not sure what to do next.

I don’t hand out generic supplement lists or tell you to ‘just relax.’ I look at the things conventional testing often misses - gut health, hormones, inflammation, metabolic health, because fertility is rarely just one thing.

These are the things we can rule in, and the things we can rule out. That’s how we get you actual answers, not more guessing.

So what actually happens when you decide to work with me? Let me run you through it.

First, a free fertility assessment, a real conversation about what’s been going on and whether we’re the right fit.

Then your Initial Consult, a thorough look at what might actually be impacting your fertility: hormones, inflammation, gut health, egg and s***m quality, all the things conventional testing often misses.

About two weeks later, you get your Report of Findings, your own personalised 3–4 month plan, explained to you clearly, not just handed over.

And we don’t just set the plan and leave you to it. We check in regularly, seeing what’s working, what’s not, and gathering more information as we go. Re-testing along the way means we’re not just hoping it’s working, we’re measuring it. So you always know you’re moving forward, not wasting time on something that isn’t.

That’s it. I guide you through every step. All you need to do is take the first one , link in bio to book your free fertility assessment.

I’m tired of fibre being treated like an afterthought in fertility advice.

It’s not just a gut health thing:

- Helps clear excess estrogen through the bowels
- Supports stable blood sugar and insulin, relevant for ovulation
- Feeds the beneficial bacteria that protect your reproductive environment
- Lowers inflammation, one of the biggest drivers of reproductive issues

Easy ways to get more in:
🍎 Apple (skin on)
🥔 Potato (skin on)
🌱 Chia seeds
🫘 Chickpeas

This isn’t about another rule. It’s a gap I don’t see talked about enough.

I was shocked to find out I wasn’t eating 25 grams of fibre a day.

I sat down and did a proper dietary assessment on myself, and found I was only getting around 20 grams not the recommended 25g+ that actually supports hormone health, digestion and fertility.

A bit of context: I was vegetarian for around 20 years, and started eating meat again about two years ago. Since then, my legumes and lentils quietly dropped off without me really noticing. I also can’t handle pasta or rice on repeat and because I meal prep, that meant I just wasn’t prepping much of it either.

Three small changes I’ve made:
🫘 Adding chickpeas and legumes back in regularly
🥣 1–2 tsp chia seeds in my morning oats (more isn’t always better)
🌿 1–2 tsp flax seeds - used to only have these in summer with yoghurt, now they go into curries, salads, even savoury mince. You genuinely can’t taste them.

Since making these changes, my digestion has been the most regular it’s ever been.

If it’s happening to me, it’s worth checking where you’re actually at too.

Life has a way of becoming smaller when you’re focused on one thing. If your days have become appointments, tracking, waiting, and wondering, let this be your reminder to look up every now and then. Your journey matters, but so does the life you’re living while you’re on it.
