We’re so happy to welcome Bec to the Eloquence team as one of our new Allied Health Assistants! 🩵

Bec is incredibly organised and goes above and beyond to prepare for her clients. She’s passionate about helping them achieve their communication goals and is embracing every opportunity to learn and grow in her role. 🌟

Here are a few fun facts to help you get to know Bec! ✨

🤠🎶 I’m a big country music fan! You’ll often find me singing along to my favourite country songs, dreaming of my next road trip or planning a little adventure.

🐮 I have a soft spot for Highland cows and their fluffy faces. They’re just too cute to resist!

🌊 I love spending time at the beach, enjoying the fresh air, sunshine and sound of the waves. I’m always up for a road trip and exploring new places along the way.

🍿 When I’m not out and about, my favourite way to unwind is a cosy movie night with my kids. Making memories and spending quality time together is what it’s all about! ❤️

Four years ago, Lucy became my very first employee at Eloquence. I remember how much it meant to welcome someone into a little business I was building with my whole heart. I couldn’t have known then how much she would come to mean to it, and to me. 🥹💕

Lucy has filled our therapy rooms with laughter, kindness, craft supplies, playdough and the kind of magic that makes children forget they’re working so hard. She has celebrated every little step with them, found a way to make learning fun, and made so many children feel safe, capable and proud. 🌈✨

But behind all those wonderful sessions is someone who believed in Eloquence when it was still finding its feet. Lucy, thank you for showing up for our families, for me and for this business over the past four years. You helped shape what Eloquence is today, and I will always be grateful that you were the first person to take that journey with me. 🤍

We’ll miss your warmth, your creativity and the joy you bring into a room. As you begin your next chapter working with adults at the hospital, I hope you know how loved you are here, and how many little lives are brighter because you were part of them.

Thank you for everything, Lucy. Eloquence won’t feel quite the same without you. 🥹💐

📚✨ Happy Book Week from Eloquence Speech Therapy! ✨📚

This year’s Book Week theme, “Symphony of Stories”, has given us the perfect excuse to celebrate something we LOVE at Eloquence… the incredible power of stories! 🎶📖💭

Books are so much more than words on a page. They give children opportunities to build vocabulary, practise storytelling, play with sounds, make predictions, explain their ideas and explore all the different ways we communicate. 🗣️🧠✨

For our August Newsletter, we’ve taken inspiration from Briony Stewart’s wonderfully quirky Symphony of Stories characters and added some simple Speechie Tips you can try at home. 🐧🐭🦋🎺

Feeling very loved and very blessed today! 🩷🎂🌸

A huge thank you to my amazing Eloquence team and all of our beautiful clients and families who sent me messages, wished me a happy birthday, and spoiled me with such thoughtful gifts and flowers. 💐🎁 I have felt so incredibly loved and appreciated today!

It feels pretty special to be celebrating 29 at 29 weeks pregnant 🤰🏼🩷✨ Definitely a birthday I’ll always remember, with our little girl along for the celebrations too! 🎀

I’m so grateful to be surrounded by such wonderful people and to be part of the beautiful community we have created at Eloquence Speech Therapy. 🥰 I truly feel very lucky to do what I do alongside such an amazing team and gorgeous families. 🥹

💥 To infinity… and beyond! 🚀

Buzz Lightyear was on speech therapy duty today, helping us master those exploding /ch/ sounds! 🗣️💚 Using Adventures in Speech Pathology’s Minimal Pairs, we worked on hearing and producing the difference between /ch/ and /sh/ in a fun, engaging way. 🎯 Every correct “exploding” /ch/ brought us one step closer to becoming speech superheroes! ⭐💜

When therapy feels like play, learning sticks. 🚀✨ Who knew a Space Ranger could make speech practice this much fun? 😊

Assessments involve a lot of brain power so it’s important we keep sessions FUN 🧠✨

Short, purposeful breaks give children time to reset, regulate and return to the next assessment task READY to participate. ✔️

Fun Brain breaks are also great motivators to get through assessment tasks as well. 😉🙌🏼
