We’re excited to support Thomas as he begins his journey with the Academy, building new skills, growing his confidence and working towards his employment goals.

Thomas will be developing his very own podcast, exploring disability, life and everything in between. From researching topics and learning podcast technology to interviewing guests and connecting with the community, there are exciting things ahead!

👀 Keep an eye out for his Podcast and one of his first guests - one of the greatest players ever to represent Queensland in State of Origin!

Places are still available for the September intake at Care Roots Academy. 🌱

Our practical life academy supports people with disability to build real-life skills, greater independence, meaningful friendships and confidence in a welcoming, inclusive environment.

Participants enjoy structured learning in the classroom and out in the community, including practical activities, community experiences, teamwork and opportunities to explore future pathways.

Every participant has their own learning journey, with personalised goals and support tailored to their individual needs, interests and abilities.
