🌿 Finding Solace in Nature 🌳
Nature has a unique way of providing peace, comfort, and healing during times of grief. Here’s why being surrounded by nature can bring a sense of renewal:

🕊️ A Haven of Tranquility – The gentle rustle of leaves and the stillness of nature create a peaceful refuge for reflection and remembrance.

🍃 Healing & Restoration – Time spent in nature has been proven to reduce stress, ease anxiety, and promote emotional well-being.

🌸 A Symbol of Renewal – Just as the seasons change, nature reminds us of growth, renewal, and the continuous cycle of life.

🌳 A Connection to Life – Being among trees, flowers, and wildlife fosters a deep connection to the world around us, even after loss.

🌊 A Space for Emotional Release – In the quiet of nature, we find a place to express our emotions freely, without judgment.

🌅 Moments of Beauty & Perspective – Watching a sunrise, feeling the breeze, or seeing a bird in flight can bring unexpected moments of comfort.

🌻 Learning to Embrace Change – Nature teaches us that change is part of life and that, in time, healing is possible.

🌿 A Place to Remember – Gardens and natural spaces provide a serene setting to honour loved ones and keep their memory alive.

This jacaranda has quietly watched thousands of family conversations over the past twenty years.

Some filled with grief.
Some with laughter.
Some with stories that had been waiting years to be shared.

We often think memorial gardens are places of goodbye.

More often, they're places where families keep talking.

We hold our Mother’s Day Memorial Service because we recognise that grief does not have an expiry date—and that for many, this significant milestone can often feel the loneliest.

This gathering provides a gentle, supportive environment where you can honour the woman who shaped your life alongside others who share a similar path. By coming together, we transform a moment of individual loss into a shared experience of remembrance. It is our way of ensuring that her unique "spark," her wit and her wisdom remain a vibrant and cherished part of our community legacy.

How to join us:

Attend our Memorial Service: Join us at 10 am on Sunday 10th May at the Federation Chapel for music, reflection and light refreshments.

RSVP here: https://engage.cmgcc.com.au/mothers-day

Contribute to the Keepsake Collective: Share a cherished story, recipe or "Mum-ism" for our inaugural community treasury, and receive your FREE copy in the mail.

Submit your memory here: https://engage.cmgcc.com.au/2026_keepsake_collective

Let’s keep their memory in bloom, together.

We are also launching the Keepsake Collective—a curated book of the recipes, wit and wisdom of the women we miss. To preserve the integrity of this community heirloom, this edition is reserved exclusively for the families we have had the honour of serving here at Centenary Memorial Gardens.
