The million-dollar question… does it hurt?

During Sclerotherapy of solution called a ‘sclerosant’ is injected into the vein. The precise sclerosant depends upon the size of the spider vein. This solution causes the vein walls to stick together, closing it, and the vein is absorbed by the body over time.

A very fine needle is used for treatment, minimising discomfort and allowing for multiple vein treatments and when performed correctly, by expert hands, the success rate of treatment is close to 90%.

Following Sclerotherapy treatment, there is very little to no recovery period needed.

After treatment patients need to walk for 30min and can then return to work or carry on with normal activities straight away.

You may have seen products like Vein Clear marketed to support healthy circulation but there’s an important difference between supporting vein health and treating an existing varicose vein.

Varicose veins develop when the valves inside the veins aren’t working properly, allowing blood to flow backwards and pool in the vein.

💊 A supplement may contain ingredients intended to support circulation or vascular health, but it can’t repair a faulty vein valve or close an established varicose vein.

That’s why simply taking a supplement won’t make an existing varicose vein disappear.
