April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month. Parkinson’s is a progressive, degenerative condition of the central nervous system. Its cause is unknown, and a cure has not yet been found.

A physiotherapist plays a key role in helping people with Parkinson’s disease, manage symptoms and improve their quality of life.
Physios work alongside a person with Parkinson’s doctor, occupational therapist, speech therapist, family and carers to create a holistic, personalised treatment plan.

Starting physiotherapy early can make a big difference by empowering individuals to stay healthy both physically and mentally.
