Reiki precepts 🙏

These were given by Mikao Usui, the founder of Reiki. Think of them as daily reminders to bring you back to nervous system safety
and alignment.
1. Just for today, I will not worry
Worry lives in the future. This precept calls you back to the present.
Practice- Notice anxious thoughts, breathe, and anchor in “just for today.

2. Just for today, I will not be angry
Anger is valid, but living in it drains you.
This is about not letting it run you.
Practice -Feel it in your body, release it, don’t feed the story.

3. Just for today, I will be grateful
Gratitude shifts the nervous system out of lack and into receiving.
Practice- Name 3 things you’re grateful for, even small ones.

4. Just for today, I will do my work honestly
Work = your purpose, your healing, your responsibilities. Show up with integrity.
Practice - Do the next right thing, even when no one’s watching.

5. Just for today, I will be kind to every living thing
Kindness starts with yourself, then extends out.
Practice -Speak to yourself like you would to a client you love.

Because the nervous system can handle 24 hours. It feels safer than “forever.”
Reiki isn’t about perfection. It’s about returning, over and over.
You don’t need to be reiki student or master to practice these precepts.
It's a good way to start your day with intention and daily reminders ✨️ 😊
Morning: Read all 5 out loud + place hands on heart.
Evening: Ask “Which precept did I live today? Which one wants more love tomorrow?”

A couple of years ago, I started cultivating my creative side and became deeply involved in acrylic flow(pouring )painting. The paintings showcased here reflect my journey at that time. As it took over most of my spare time, and storage space I had to stop sadly 🙃

For winter you want a massage that warms you up and help your nervous system feel safe when is cold and dark out.
Hot rock massage would be a good pick for this season. 😌
Feel comforted by the warmth of the stones as it helps to melt the tension out of your body.
It is grounding, warming and restoring. This massage is a must when you need to come back to you to feel centred.👌

Quick and practical way to Calm your nervous system in 30 seconds, using vibration tuning forks when you feel overwhelmed, experiencing racing thoughts or your body is buzzing.
Try this:
1. Strike the fork + hold it near your ears or chest

2. Breathe infor 4... and out for 6

3. Feel the vibration move through you

In 30 seconds your breath slows. Your shoulders drop.
Because vibration speaks directly to your body, not your mind.

You don’t have to think your way calm.
You can feel your way there 💙
I have been using this on myself it works like magic 😊
Strike. Breathe. Vibrate.

I am training to be a sound healing practitioner currently and looking forward to using tuning forks in my Massage clinic.

The impact of sound vibration therapy on cellular stimulation to alleviate Fibromyalgia pain and Alzheimer's disease. I like the concluding remark about prescribing sound vibration as a therapeutic treatment.
That would be great alternative. 👍
Science is catching up to what acient healing knew.

How can massage therapy help to minimise Fibromyalgia symptoms?
Massage is not an indulgence,it's a nervous system medicine.
Massage is a way of telling your body you don't have to fight right now. The relief might be subtle- better sleep, less stiffness calmer moods but those small shifts, it's all adds up.

Fibromyalgia is a nervous system problem, not a tight muscle problem.

Massage works because it speaks the nervous system's language safety, rhythm and predictability.
When that happens the body feels safe and the pain volume lessens sleep improves and the flares becomes less intense.

Fibromyalgia means living with invisible battles.
Gentle massage therapy says I see you, I believe you let's help your body feel safe again.

Fibromyalgia "Hot Spots" = Tender Points
They are called the hot spots" is what many Fibromyalgia warriors call their tender points.
These are specific areas that hurt way more than they should when you press them.

The 18 classic tender points-
Doctors used to diagnose Fibromyalgia checking these 18 spots.
11/18 had to be painful. Today diagnosis is broader, but these spots still matter:

Head/Neck - 4 spots:
1. Back of head, base of skull
2. Top of shoulders, trapezius muscle
3. Front of neck, sides
4. Between shoulder blades

Chest/Arms - 6 spots:
5. Upper chest, 2nd rib
6. Elbows, outer side
7. Hips, upper outer buttock
8. Knees, inner side

Note: Each spot has a left + right side = 18 total

Why they become "hot:
Fibromyalgia = central sensitization. Brain turns up pain volume everywhere. These spots have lots of nerves + fascia, so they scream first. Touch, pressure, even clothing can trigger them.

Massage techniques most helpful for fibromyalgia:
With Fibromyalgia- Lighter + slower = better results- Deep pressure usually backfires.

Goal is nervous system regulation, not “fixing muscles.

Top 5 techniques that work for Fibromyalgia clients-

1. Myofascial Release - Gentle Hold
Why: Fibromyalgia = tight, stuck fascia.
This melts it without pain.
How: 3-5g pressure, like weight of a nickel. Place hands, wait 90-120sec for tissue to let go and release.
Best spots: Shoulders, upper back, hips - where tender points live.

2. Craniosacral Therapy - Still Point
Directly calms central nervous system + brain. Fibromyalgia is neurological
Result: Less pain + better sleep for days after.

3. Light Swedish Effleurage-
Why: Long, slow strokes tell nervous system “we’re safe”.

4. Lymphatic Drainage - Light Pumping-
Why: Fibromyalgia clients often have swelling, puffiness, toxin buildup feeling.
How: Super light skin-stretch, like moving skin
Result: Less “Fibromyalgia fog”, lighter body feeling.

Conclusion: Massage Therapy for Fibromyalgia-
Massage therapy doesn’t cure fibromyalgia. But it’s one of the most powerful tools for managing it.
