If you want to grow and become more Christ-like…
If you want to grow relationally…
If you want to become the best version of yourself…

You want a few close friends who are your cheerleaders but also friends who will be honest with you and challenge you, to highlight your blind spots or things you are overlooking…so you can be better.

If you have a friend like that, tag them below and THANK THEM.
They love you enough to speak the truth in love.

Be an iron sharpens iron friend

Proverbs 27:17 “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”

Stop asking “are they the one” “could they be my future spouse”?

And start asking “who are they as a person?” “What type of friend are they to others?”

Healthy Christian dating ask smaller questions.

Being chosen by a person is not proof that you have been chosen by God.

You can desire to be married without making it your identity.

Dating with conviction doesn’t mean dating with fear.

You can experience attraction, understand desire, have honest conversations about s..x AND choose boundaries that align with your faith and values.

The goal isn’t to be scared of your s..xuality. It’s to learn how to navigate it with wisdom, self-control and clarity.

That’s not love.

& for the record, love is a feeling but it also is an action.

Looking for a definition of love in action?
Look at Jesus.
Sacrificial, generous, putting the other first.

Biblical love is this…

“Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭4‬-‭7‬ ‭ESV‬‬

We live in a culture obsessed with the beginning.

✨ The spark.
✨ The butterflies.
✨ The perfect proposal.
✨ The wedding photos.

But those moments aren’t the goal.

The goal is a marriage where, decades later, you still choose each other.

Where you’ve weathered disappointment, celebrated victories, forgiven often, laughed deeply and kept walking toward Jesus together.

Whether you’re single, dating, engaged or married, don’t just ask:

“Do I feel something?”

Also ask:

“Are we building something?”

Because attraction may start a relationship.

But character, commitment and Christ sustain one.

❤️ Share this with someone who’s dating with the future in mind.

One of the biggest communication shifts is this:

When we’re hurt or overwhelmed, it’s easy to describe what our partner isn’t doing.

“You never help.”
“You don’t listen.”
“You never make me feel special.”

The problem is that criticism often triggers defensiveness. Your partner hears what they’re getting wrong but doesn’t know what success actually looks like.

Instead, try making a clear, specific request.

💬 “Could you sit with me for 10 minutes tonight?”
💬 “I’d really appreciate it if you emptied the dishwasher before work.”
💬 “I’d love a hug when you get home.”

This doesn’t guarantee they’ll say yes every time. But it gives them something they can actually respond to.

What’s one small, specific request that could make a difference in your relationship this week? ❤️

The last 10 days has been such an honour & reminded me why I do what I do.

I’ve travelled between churches speaking about s..x, dating, intimacy, vulnerability and marriage.

Not because these topics are trendy.

But because every church is filled with people carrying questions they’ve never felt safe enough to ask.

I’ve watched couples laugh together, singles lean in with curiosity, leaders breathe a sigh of relief, and so many people realise they’re not alone.

When the church creates space for honest, biblically grounded conversations, shame begins to lose its grip and hope starts to grow.

That’s why we need to talk and normalise these taboo topics in the church.

If you’re a pastor or church leader looking to equip your community with practical, grace-filled teaching on relationships, dating, marriage or intimacy, I’d love to come alongside your church.

Send me a DM.

& if you have been at my talks, share below a takeaway!
& if you want your church to talk about these topics, comment below & share this with your pastor.
