The Teddy Bear Hospital will give children the chance to create their very own Build-A-Bear teddy* for just $10, before taking their furry friend through a fun hospital check-up experience.

In partnership with Mater Little Miracles, Mater Foundation a portion of proceeds from every teddy sold will help support the new Mater Mothers, Springfield. 💙

⛳✨ Big swings for little miracles

Last Friday, the community came together at the Brisbane Golf Club for Golf for Miracles Charity Golf Day, raising an incredible $135,000 for Mater Little Miracles.

Funds raised will help deliver two Panda Neonatal Cots, supporting round-the-clock specialist care for Mater’s tiniest patients.

Hearing Cherie Canning share her family’s experience in Mater’s Neonatal Critical Care Unit was a powerful reminder of the families behind this care. 💙

Warmest congratulations to Plantation Homes on being named a finalist in the Queensland Gives 2026 Queensland Philanthropy Awards, Corporate Philanthropist category.

Mater Foundation’s nomination of Plantation Homes, recognises and honours nearly two decades of generosity through the House for Life project, in support of Mater Little Miracles.

In final stages of their 11th House for Life, Plantation Homes along with their tradies and suppliers, are creating a beautiful Wavell Heights home for auction, with proceeds supporting specialist care for sick and premature babies at Mater Mothers’ Hospital.

Together with an incredible network of tradies and suppliers, House for Life has raised more than $9 million since 2008.

Hiwa-i-te-Rangi meaning “Wishing Star” has become the first baby born at Mater Hospital Springfield.

For local families, this means essential maternity care closer to home.

With support from the community, the Mater Mothers’ Springfield’s 24/7 Pregnancy Assessment Centre, Neonatal Critical Care Unit, birth suites and inpatient unit is now open.

Through the generosity of the community, Mater can create impact that reaches far beyond hospital walls.

Professor Ju Lee Oei is the inaugural Chair of Neonatology at Mater, working across Mater Mothers’ hospitals and Mater Research to advance healthcare outcomes for mothers and babies.

This recently appointed position was made possible through the Nine Telethon supporting Mater Little Miracles.
