2026 OTSA Networking Evening! 💚🎉🤩 With more than 150 students and 18 sponsors in attendance, the room was buzzing with conversations and new connections. A huge thank you to our sponsors for their support and to everyone who came along to make the evening such a success. It was fantastic to see students and industry professionals connecting, sharing experiences and building relationships that will shape the future of our profession ⭐️

A huge congratulations to our amazing 4th Year and GEM cohort on officially beginning the final semester of your Occupational Therapy degree! 💚 This is such an exciting milestone as you head into your final placements, assignments, projects and vivas as OT students at UQ. OTSA wishes you all the very best for the challenges, opportunities and memorable moments ahead. We can’t wait to see the incredible occupational therapists you’ll become! 🫶

Follow fourth-year OT student Gemma, as she shares her experience completing a block placement in a community private practice across paediatric and older adult caseloads! From home and school visits to clinic sessions and outreach trips to Miles, every day brought something new. Gemma also had the opportunity to engage in community events, live with fellow healthcare students and built meaningful community connections 🐮👩‍🌾💚

Take a look back at a typical day during Leticia and Alicia’s 10-week rural placement in Cloncurry! Over the past 10 weeks, they had the opportunity to work with children across kindergarten, school and Telehealth settings, as well as run a weekly aged care group. From building meaningful connections to developing their clinical skills, their placement in Cloncurry was filled with invaluable learning experiences and unforgettable memories!!!🌾🧸💻
