This Sunday 17th May is our 3rd Wanderer event.
These events have quickly become one of my most favourite things on my monthly calendar.
When Ebony and I take time to head out a few weeks before the event to explore our next location, we navigate new tracks and look for themes that are both mirrored in our external landscape and our internal landscape. It never ceases to surprise me how nature provides answers, wisdom and invites deeper contemplation.
And this weekend‘s theme is no different.
This Sunday we invite our Wanderers to walk with the idea that ‘We can do hard things but we are equally made for gentle things’.
I know personally that my ‘We can do hard things’ bingo card is already very full!
I’m a single mumma of 2 daughters, I’ve navigated childhood bullying, abuse, multiple miscarriages, separation, divorce, emergency surgery and in the last month an adult ADHD diagnosis.
I look back at these landmarks of my own personal life and events that I have endured or pushed through to come out the other side - Yes, I’m stronger and yes, I’ve built resilience but gosh I’m exhausted!
My central nervous system is seeking and almost demanding that I pay attention to what happens to my physicality when I slow down, when I pause, when I linger, when I take time to embrace sunshine on my face or wind in my hair, when I stop and pay attention to the natural flight of a butterfly or the trekked path of a beetle.
This is what our Wanderer event is about. So, if you know that stamping your ‘frequent hard things card’ has come to an end and you want to explore a gentle way of finding rhythm and connection come wander with us awhile. 🍃💚
