Do you have a child aged 8–12?

Researchers are inviting parents and caregivers from across Australia to take part in a pilot trial of Parenting to Prevent, a free online program that helps parents build practical skills to support their child's wellbeing and reduce risks of self-harm.

Participation involves completing an 8-week online program at your own pace, as well as a series of brief online surveys.

Leaving the job doesn't mean the impact of service ends. 🧡

Fortem Australia is proud to support the psychological wellbeing of former first responders, because the impacts of a career in emergency service can continue long after leaving the job. Wherever you are in your journey, we're here to support you.

Former first responders who have left service within the past 10 years can access Fortem's free, confidential counselling services, delivered by experienced clinicians who understand the realities of first responder life.

If you, or someone you know, has transitioned out of service in the past decade, we're here to help. 🧡

Every time we give kids a hug, laugh at their jokes or help them solve a problem, we’re nourishing their mental health.

It’s all about finding small moments of joy, and walking the bumpy road of life together, in your own way.

Today, we’re teaming up with the Brisbane Broncos to launch something even bigger than rugby league 🖤

We’re on a mission to fill 50,000 virtual seats at Suncorp Stadium by June 6 – and we need you in the stands.

Because mental health isn’t always visible, but it affects millions of Australians each year.

Every $25 virtual seat supports Black Dog Institute’s mental health research. Personalise yours with your name, download the image, and share it to show your mates you care.

No empty seats. No one left behind.

Grab your seat at noemptyseats.org.au

Complex trauma affects nervous system functioning, particularly when trauma occurs in relational and developmental contexts.

Evidence from neurobiology, attachment theory, and trauma research consistently shows that physiological responses to threat precede conscious thought. This is why effective support for complex trauma must include body-based strategies that restore regulation and safety at a nervous system level.

Working with the body is not an adjunct to recovery - it is central to it.
