Farewell to the beautiful RDA horse Paddington. He was the first horse to join the Hippotherapy physio program and will be hugely missed. Thank you for your incredible service and all the wonderful memories 💙🦄

It’s with heavy hearts that we let you all know that our beautiful Paddington Bear was laid to rest today.

He was a 1 in a million horse who had great impact on so many people, from coaches, volunteers to riders and their families.

Rest easy Paddington.

RDA is so much more than horse riding. NDIS funding cuts have been really felt by RDA clients, and I feel there is a massive lack of understanding of what RDA programs are all about….. not only does being aboard a horse offer incredible physical benefits (building strength, endurance, coordination, pain relief, mobility) but there are incredible positive sensory and psychosocial impacts too. Whether riding or participating in groundwork providing horse care , relationships with horses and humans can be built, nervous systems calmed, communication strategies and confidence strengthened….. and so much more. Please support your local RDA Samford Riding for the Disabled to continue these amazing programs.

We have an amazing community around us. But the word needs to travel further.

Thumbs up!! Term 2 Hippotherapy Physio sessions with Ali kicked off today!! Happy horses and smiles all round for the riders. It is truly special to see the joy and freedom that being aboard a horse brings to clients, and to watch the special bonds between horse and rider develop. Physio sessions aboard horses help build strength, coordination and balance, and are lots of fun!!
