It’s been a while since we did some body composition analysis.
One of my fighters needs to drop weight, we’re going to do a structured plan and lose body fat safely, whilst maintaining muscle and strength gains. Tonight we did a weigh in to get some baseline measurements and write a plan. In boxing, divisions are classified on bodyweight, so in this case it makes perfect sense to use the scales. But it may not be the best (or only) measurement for you.
I thought I’d take the opportunity to share some thoughts on tracking progress - too much attention is given solely to the scales.
