Networking Without Feeling Awkward

Networking doesn't have to mean selling. It starts with building genuine connections.

• LinkedIn Profiles – Connect with people in industries you'd like to learn more about.
• Conversation Starters – Ask questions and show interest in others.
• Online Communities – Engage where people share ideas and support each other.
• Networking Podcasts – Learn how others build relationships.

Simple Ideas:
• Leave a meaningful comment on someone's post.
• Answer a question in a group.
• Welcome a new member to a community.

Your first goal doesn't have to be huge.

When someone joins me, I don't tell them to go and find hundreds of people.

We focus on something much more achievable.

Learn how everything works.
Share it with a few people.
Help your first 2 or 3 people get started.

That's how teams are built—one person at a time.

I'd love to help you reach your first milestone and build your confidence along the way.

Sometimes the smallest first step leads to the biggest change.

Over the past few weeks, we have looked at the stories of three remarkable women who found success later in life.

None of them started with a perfect plan.

None of them knew exactly how things would turn out.

What they did have was the courage to start.

If you've been telling yourself that you're too old, too late, or that you've missed your chance, their stories prove otherwise.

So let me ask you...

What have you always dreamed of doing?

Do you have a talent or skill that you could teach others?

Have you always been interested in starting a business?

Do you love the idea of network marketing and helping people achieve their goals?

Do you have a heart for supporting women who are struggling and want to create something that makes a difference?

Or perhaps you're simply ready for a change of career and a new challenge.

Whatever it is, don't dismiss it just because you're not where you thought you'd be by now.

Most successful journeys begin with a simple idea, a little planning, and a willingness to find solutions to the challenges that come along the way.

You don't have to have all the answers today.

You just need to be willing to take the first step.

What's one thing you've always wanted to do but haven't started yet?

Did you play sport as a kid?

Growing up in a small country town, we didn't have as many sporting options as children in larger communities, but we made the most of what was available.

At school, we were introduced to a variety of sports during PE lessons. Some were fun to try, although they weren't sports that were played competitively in our area.

For a number of years, I played netball and really enjoyed it. I also tried my hand at tennis, but I have to admit I was terrible at it! Unfortunately, being bad at something doesn't do much for your confidence or enjoyment. The funny thing is that I really wanted to like tennis because many of my friends played.

As a teenager, I also played badminton for a couple of years, which I enjoyed far more than tennis.

Looking back, sport wasn't just about winning or being good at it. It was about spending time with friends, being active, and having fun.

What sports did you play growing up? Did you stick with them, or were you like me and discover that some sports just weren't your thing?
