Oh - the things you can manage on the Pilates Cadillac!

Our amazing Clinical Pilates Staff get together for regular staff training session.

We had loads of fun yesterday running through every exercise possible on the Cadillac, discussing which exercises were best for what, and how we can change exercises for specific client needs.

What an awesome team! Always excited to learn more, think up new things, and just so passionate about what they do!

ACL injury? What next?

As the ACL is one of the main ligaments supporting your knee, most people think that a ACL injury means surgery!

Few people realise there are several options of how to move forward after injuring your ACL.

At Physiologix, sports injuries including ACL is an integral part of what we treat. Our highly experienced staff stay up to date with all the very latest. This includes being accredited Cross Bracing ACL providers.

Surgery is an option after ACL injury. But some people choose to undertake their rehab with nothing, managing often very well without an ACL. Now an option to heal the ACL naturally also exists following the ACL Cross Bracing Protocol.

Call us to find out more - our staff can help guide you through what your options may be and the best way to move on after your ACL injury.

Active teenager with low back pain - if it persists get it checked out.

This group is notorious from acquiring a stress reaction in the bone in the lower back.

And this can go on to become a serious injury, a stress fracture, or break in the bone, if not correctly managed.

Dr Molly, senior physio at Physiologix focused on this condition in her PhD. It is not uncommon in kids doing a higher load of activity. It is more prevalent in certain sports such as cricket and gymnastics, but really can occur in anything.

Our physios will help screen your kid for this condition, and if required work with a medical team, frequently your GP and a sports doctor, to ensure the right imaging is taken and a careful plan of action put into place.

Heat as pain relief works!
It has been recognised and used for 100's, likely 1000's of years.

The best thing about our heat packs?
1. They are lupine seed
2. They hold the heat longer
3. They are lighter - so much nicer around your neck!
4. They dont get weevils (a shocker with wheat bags!!!)
5. They can wrap around you while you still run around doing things!
6. Making them soooooo easy to use
7. Added bonus of can go in the freezer and become an ice pack!

Perfect! User friendly! And therefore effective!

And you can buy them online from our website physiologix.com.au from our product page and have them delivered to your door!!!!! Now there is no excuse for you to help yourself help reduce your pain!

A huge congratulations to Cameron Ramsay senior Physio Therapist at Physiologix who completed the half marathon event at the weekend.

Not only do our physios know and understand running injuries but are involved in the sport itself - from trail running, to distance events to ironman.

Given that this time last year Cameron had to withdraw from the race as he was on crutches, it has been a huge accomplishment to make it through this year. Not only has he recovered from a severe injury but he has gone on to achieve the goals he had set out to achieve. A lot of hard work!

Well done Cameron.
