Have you ever found yourself wondering…

“Why am I so tired all the time?”

“Why is this belly fat suddenly so stubborn?”

“Why can’t I think clearly anymore?”

“Why am I waking up at 3am and struggling to get back to sleep?”

“Why do I feel anxious, overwhelmed, or like I’m constantly switched on?”

If you’re in perimenopause or menopause, chances are you’ve experienced at least some of these.

And while these changes are incredibly common, they’re also incredibly frustrating. But they’re not something you simply have to accept as your new normal.

Throughout August, we’re going to take a closer look at some of the most common symptoms women experience during this stage of life - fatigue, stubborn weight gain, brain fog, cravings, poor sleep, bloating, anxiety, feeling wired but tired, hot flushes, and more.

We’ll explore what’s happening behind the scenes, why these symptoms can appear, and most importantly, what your body may be trying to tell you.

Because when you understand what’s really going on inside your body, everything starts to make more sense. Then you can support your body a little differently.

This is exactly what I love helping women do in clinic. Taking the confusion out of what's happening, and helping you understand how to work with your body, rather than constantly fighting against it.

I’d love you to join us throughout August as we unpack these symptoms together.

And I’d love to know… which symptom are you most curious about understanding better?

What’s the one thing your body is doing right now that has you thinking, “What is going on?!” Let me know in the comments and we’ll make sure we cover it 💗

This is probably one of the biggest shifts I hope every woman takes away from this month.

Instead of asking, “How do I get rid of these symptoms?” what if we started asking, “What are they trying to tell me?”

Because your body is incredibly intelligent. It isn’t randomly creating symptoms to make your life harder - it’s communicating with you.

Your anxiety might be asking for nervous system support or some hormonal balancing. Your fatigue might be asking for deeper rest, better sleep, adrenal support, or more nourishment. Your cravings might be asking for changes to your eating patterns or some support with blood sugar balance. Your irritability might be asking you to look at where you’re overgiving, overwhelmed, or where a stronger boundary is needed.

Your symptoms aren’t random. They’re information. And when we stop fighting our body and start listening to it, things begin to make a lot more sense.

Perhaps menopause isn’t simply taking things away, perhaps it’s giving you something you’ve needed for a very long time: permission.

Permission to slow down.
Permission to rest.
Permission to ask for help.
Permission to say no without guilt.
Permission to choose yourself sometimes.

The women I see thrive in midlife aren’t the ones trying to fight their changing bodies. They’re the ones who become curious about them.

They stop asking, “What’s wrong with me?” and start asking, “What does my body need from me now?”

Because when you understand your body, you stop fighting it, and when you stop fighting it, you can finally start working with it.

That’s exactly what I love helping women do every day. Whether it’s balancing hormones, improving energy, calming the nervous system, supporting metabolism, or simply helping you understand what your body has been trying to tell you.

Every woman is different, which is why there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. Your body has its own story, and together we can work out what support it needs to feel balanced, resilient and well again.

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure what your symptoms are trying to tell you, book a free Reset Call via the link in bio. I’d love to help you understand your body better 💗

Once we stop fighting our body… and getting frustrated with it… everything starts to make a lot more sense.

Instead of trying to force it to behave like it did in years gone past, we can start asking a different question: what does it actually need now?

And often, the answer is surprisingly simple. It could be:

More protein.
Daily movement.
Building muscle instead of chasing smaller numbers on the scales.
Better sleep.
Morning sunlight.
A calmer nervous system.
Stronger boundaries.
Regular meals that keep blood sugar steady.

These small daily choices send a powerful message to your nervous system: you’re safe, I’ve got you.

Because healing isn’t about punishing your body or forcing it into submission. It’s about listening to it, and learning to work with it again.

So I’d love to ask you - what resonates most for you here?

Is there one small shift that feels like it would be a welcome change for your body right now?

📞 Calling all past Metabolic Balance ladies…

Does this sound familiar? ⤵️

Your Metabolic Balance plan is tucked away somewhere safe. You know it works, you know what to do, and yet somehow life keeps getting in the way.

You tell yourself “I’ll start again on Monday”… but then Monday comes and goes, and it still hasn’t quite happened.

If that’s you, please know this - you don’t need more willpower, and you don’t need to be harder on yourself. What you might actually need is a bit of support, encouragement, accountability, and a group of women walking the journey with you.

Which is exactly why I’ve created the 6-Week MB Reboot.

Over six weeks, we’ll reconnect you with your Metabolic Balance plan, rebuild healthy habits, work through the mindset blocks that tend to get in the way, and help you rediscover just how good you can feel when you’re back in rhythm.

Because getting back on track is so much easier when we do it together.

*Please note - this program is exclusively for women who have previously completed Metabolic Balance.

So if you’ve been thinking, “I know what to do… I just can’t seem to get myself started again,” this is your invitation 💌

If you’re ready to reboot, you can find all the details and book your spot via the link below x

...maybe you're just becoming more honest.

For years, many of us have worn the badge of honour that says:

"I'll do it."
"I'll sort it."
"It's fine."
"I don't need help."

We've been the peacekeepers, the organisers, the caregivers, the ones who remember everyone's birthdays and somehow keep the whole family running.

Then our hormones begin to shift, and suddenly those same responsibilities can feel different.

Heavier. More frustrating. More draining. And sometimes resentment kicks in.

Not because you've become selfish, but because your body no longer has the reserves to keep carrying everything without consequence.

Perhaps menopause doesn't change who we are, perhaps it's just revealing what we've not been seeing...the needs we've pushed aside, the boundaries we've avoided, the support we've been reluctant to ask for.

Your body is just trying to get your attention. Maybe it's gently asking:

"What about YOU?"

"What do YOU need now?"

And perhaps that's one of the greatest invitations of midlife - to finally start listening.

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Is there something your body's been trying to tell you lately? Or something you've been too busy to hear?

This one might challenge the way you’ve always thought about boundaries.

I have to say, as a lifelong people pleaser, I’ve had pretty sh*te boundaries for much of my life. But...I am getting better with age...as I clear blocks, understand myself more, and start to actually like and respect who I am 💗

Here’s something I’ve come to understand…

Boundaries aren’t just mindset. They’re also biological.

When we’re younger, our bodies (and hormones) tend to allow more flexibility. We tolerate more. We push through more. We often don’t fully know who we are yet, so we give more of ourselves away without realising it.

But in midlife, that shifts.

Our nervous system simply doesn’t have the same capacity for constant “yes, I'll do it!”, over-giving, or ignoring our own needs.

So things start to feel different:

Every difficult relationship costs more.
Every broken night of sleep costs more.
Every blood sugar crash costs more.
Every unwanted commitment costs more.

It’s not that you’re becoming less tolerant.

It’s that your body is becoming more protective.

So if you’ve been feeling more overwhelmed, more resentful, or more easily irritated… it’s not a character flaw.

It's just information.

A signal that something in your life needs a new or stronger boundary.

Because your body isn’t trying to make life harder. It’s trying to get your attention.

So here’s a few questions for you:

Where is there a “too-loose” or non-existent boundary in your life that’s really costing you?
And what’s your first step to tighten it up or put it in place?
Please share and let’s do this together xx

One of the biggest mistakes I see women make in midlife is trying to live exactly the same way they did twenty years ago, and expecting their body to just “get with the program”.

Things like…

Skipping meals
Running on coffee
Pushing through exhaustion
Going to bed too late
Saying yes to everything
Putting everyone else first
Doing the same high-intensity exercise
Taking the exact same supplements
Eating all the same foods they used to eat

And then wondering why they feel totally out of whack.

Here’s the thing…

Your body has entered a new season. Just like winter asks different things of nature than spring, midlife asks different things of us too.

Not because you’re getting weaker, but because you’re changing.

Changing levels of oestrogen and progesterone mean your body doesn't "bounce back" the way it used to...whether it's from stress, poor sleep, overcommitting, or running on empty.

It isn’t failing. It’s adapting. It’s trying to get your attention. And it won’t ignore what it needs anymore.

So here are a few questions for you:-

What are you doing on a regular basis that might actually be a deal-breaker for your body? Trust me...you will already know.

And now that you know… how can you honour that?

What’s one thing you could change today?

If this is resonating with you and you’re starting to recognise these patterns in your own body but aren't sure how to get them sorted ASAP, book a free Reset Call via the link below, I'd love to help x

One of my favourite things to do inside our Facebook community is jump on for a live session that we call "Thursday Themes".

Each week, we explore topics that are relevant to women navigating hormone changes, low energy, weight loss resistance, stress, metabolism, sleep, digestion, and so much more.

Think of it as a relaxed chat where I break down complex or trending health topics into simple, practical information you can actually use.

✨ Your questions. My insights.
✨ Real conversations about real health topics.
✨ A chance to learn, ask questions, and better understand what's happening in your body.

Of course, the group is more than just the live sessions. We also do weekly check-ins, share support and encouragement, and connect with like-minded women who are on a similar journey.

If that sounds like your kind of space, I'd love to welcome you.

Have you ever found yourself thinking… “Why do most people (and things!) annoy the S**T out of me these days?” 😅

The kids.
Your significant other.
The dishwasher.
The clutter.
The work colleague you used to tolerate with a genuine smile.
The constant questions.
Someone breathing too loudly.
Someone chewing too loudly.

And the list goes on… sound familiar?

You are not alone 😍

One of the biggest changes that happen during perimenopause and menopause is that our nervous system loses some of the hormonal buffering it once had.

Oestrogen helps regulate serotonin and dopamine (which support mood and emotional resilience), while progesterone supports GABA (one of our main calming neurotransmitters).

As oestrogen and progesterone naturally decline, many women notice they become:

More emotionally sensitive
More easily overwhelmed
Less able to bounce back from stress
More reactive than they used to be
Simply less tolerant of "nonsense" 😂

This does NOT mean you’re becoming an impatient or difficult person.

It simply means your nervous system has less “reserve” than it used to. Less bandwidth. More prioritising. And honestly…that’s not a bad thing. It just is.

Your system is just asking you to turn inward and focus more on your own needs first. It’s asking you to put your oxygen mask on before helping everyone else with theirs. I know you’ve heard that before…but in this stage of life, it's worth listening to.

If you pause, take a breath, and tune in… you’ll no doubt hear that quiet (or not so quiet 😁) message.

If this is resonating with you and you’re starting to recognise these shifts in your body, this is exactly what I support women with every day.

You don’t have to figure it out alone.

Welcome to our new theme for July; this month is your invitation to listen to, and look at, your body a little differently.

Instead of asking “What’s wrong with me?” and staying in frustration or disappointment, let’s start asking “What is my body trying to tell me?”

As you probably know intuitively, your body is NOT trying to make your life harder. Even if it feels like it some days 😒

It’s just trying to get your attention - and what we do with that “attention” is the next important step.

Now that our hormones are changing, our body is asking for something different.

It’s often a mix of things like:

More nourishment
More recovery
More boundaries
More kindness
Less pushing
Less guilt
Less putting ourselves last

This month, let’s work together on understanding what YOUR body is actually asking for.

Stay tuned xx
