After many years of searching and dealing with my own health issues, I believe I've finally found the modalities that

really find the cause of our illness, and pains physically and emotionally. We go searching, in HOPE that we will find someone who understands us and our situation, and who will be able to help us through our challenges, whether it be structural pain, nutritional deficiencies, or emotional pain. We spend much of our hard earned money trying to find ways to relieve these pains or illnesses and we keep on searching until we find something that works. I believe each and every client comes to me for a reason. Often I am learning as much from you as you are from being with me. My goal is always to help you, my client, to leave with a difference. If you would like to know more about how I can help you with whatever is holding you back from enjoying life the way you are meant to, then please stop looking and send me a message.

You can sleep eight full hours and still wake up feeling drained. And it leaves you wondering — why am I so tired when I've done everything right? 🌿

The answer often isn't in your body. It's in everything you've been carrying emotionally.

Emotional weight is real weight.

When we don't have space to process our feelings, they don't just disappear. They settle into the body — as tension, fatigue, heaviness, and that constant low-level exhaustion that rest alone can't fix.

You might be carrying:
😔 Stress you've normalised
😰 Worry you've never voiced
😤 Frustration you've swallowed to keep the peace
🫣 Grief or sadness you never had time to feel

Your body has been holding all of it, quietly and loyally, waiting for a moment when it's finally safe to let go.

That heaviness you feel? It's not weakness. It's your system asking you to set some of it down.

You don't have to carry it all alone. 🤍

Coming Tomorrow 🌿

A new month is almost here, and so is my next newsletter.
Choosing Yourself: A Gentle Invitation to Stop Putting Yourself Last 💛

This one is for anyone who has found themselves:
Saying “yes” when their heart is whispering “no”
Staying quiet to keep the peace
Feeling responsible for everyone else’s emotions
Putting their own needs at the bottom of the list
Pushing through exhaustion because rest feels “selfish”

Tomorrow’s newsletter is a gentle reflection on people pleasing, boundaries, nervous system safety, and what it really means to choose yourself without guilt.

If this feels like something your heart needs right now, keep an eye on your inbox tomorrow.

And if you’re not yet signed up, simply DM me “NEWSLETTER” and I’ll add you to the list.

With care and kindness,
Vanessa

"What you do frequently becomes your frequency." 🌿

Every small thing you repeat is quietly shaping who you're becoming.

The thoughts you return to. The words you speak to yourself. The habits you barely notice anymore. Over time, they don't just fill your days — they set the tone for your entire energy.

If you're constantly rushing, your body learns to live in urgency.
If you're always bracing for the worst, your nervous system stays on alert.
But if you practise softness, presence, and calm — even in small moments — that becomes your baseline too.

You are not just doing these things. You are becoming them. 🪷

So choose gently. Choose the practices that bring you back to yourself:
✨ A slow breath before you react
✨ A kind word in place of criticism
✨ A moment of stillness in a busy day
✨ Rest, without needing to earn it

Little by little, these repetitions raise your frequency — and you begin to move through life from a place of peace instead of pressure.

Your energy is built one small choice at a time. Make them count. 🤍

Blueberries may be small, but they're one of nature's most powerful brain foods. 🫐

They're rich in anthocyanins — the antioxidants that give them their deep blue colour and protect your cells from damage.

Here's what the research shows:
🧠 Brain health — antioxidants help protect memory and slow cognitive decline
💙 Mood support — they reduce inflammation, which is linked to anxiety and low mood
🩸 Heart health — they support healthy blood pressure and circulation
🛡️ Gut & immunity — the fibre feeds healthy gut bacteria, and 90% of your serotonin is made in your gut

Because the gut and brain are so closely connected, nourishing your gut directly supports a calmer, brighter mind.

Simple ways to enjoy them:
✨ A handful with breakfast or yoghurt
✨ Blended into a smoothie
✨ Frozen as a snack
✨ Fresh, straight from the punnet

Small, gentle nourishment for both body and mind. 🌿

Meet your vagus nerve — the longest nerve of your parasympathetic nervous system. 🌿

It runs from your brainstem down through your throat, heart, lungs, and gut, connecting your brain to nearly every major organ.

Here's why it matters:
🧠 It controls your "rest and digest" mode — the opposite of fight-or-flight
❤️ It slows your heart rate and lowers blood pressure
🍽️ It stimulates digestion and reduces inflammation
😌 It signals to your body: you are safe now

When you're stressed, this nerve goes quiet and your body stays stuck in survival mode. The good news? You can activate it on purpose.

Ways to stimulate your vagus nerve:
✨ Slow exhales (breathe in for 4, out for 6)
✨ Humming, singing, or gentle chanting
✨ Cold water on your face
✨ Deep, belly-based breathing

Try one right now and notice how your body softens.

Healing isn't about pushing harder...

It's about helping your body feel safe enough to let go.

Small moments of calm teach your nervous system it's okay to rest.

Your mind loops because it's searching for certainty.

But safety isn't found in more thinking — it's found in your body.

Next time the spiral starts, place a hand on your chest and breathe out slowly.

Had the courage to record a few chants from some of my practice this morning to share. My little ‘Sunshine’ loves to sit with me while I’m playing and tends to fall asleep. It’s pretty special!! 💞

There's a quiet myth in the wellness world that healing means fixing yourself — becoming a better, calmer, more evolved version of who you are. 🌿

But the truth is much gentler than that.

You don't need fixing. You were never broken.

Somewhere along the way, life asked you to adapt. To be strong, to keep going, to put others first, to stay quiet, to hold it all together. And slowly, parts of you got quiet too — the playful part, the soft part, the part that knew how to rest, the part that trusted your own voice.

Healing isn't about adding more. It's about gently returning to the parts of yourself that got buried under everything you had to carry.

Coming home to yourself looks like:
✨ Trusting your own feelings again
✨ Letting yourself rest without earning it
✨ Speaking honestly, even when it's hard
✨ Choosing yourself in small, everyday ways

Every one of these small steps matters. You don't have to rush the journey — you're allowed to come home slowly. 🤍

Pay attention to the voice in your head this week. Is it kind — or is it the harshest critic you know? 🌿

So many of us believe that being hard on ourselves is what keeps us disciplined and motivated. But here's what actually happens: that harsh inner voice isn't motivating you — it's exhausting you.

When you constantly criticise yourself, your nervous system reads it as a threat. You stay in a subtle state of stress, always bracing, never quite feeling safe. And it's nearly impossible to grow, heal, or change from that place.

Self-compassion does the opposite. It sends your body a completely different message: "I'm safe with me."

Try this simple shift:
✨ Instead of "I'm so behind," try "I'm doing my best with what I have."
✨ Instead of "What's wrong with me?" try "This is hard, and that's okay."
✨ Instead of "I should be further along," try "I'm exactly where I need to be right now."

Real, lasting change doesn't come from criticism. It comes from kindness — the same gentleness you'd offer someone you love.

Be gentle with yourself this week. You deserve your own compassion. 🤍
