Someone recently told me that my business acumen was on point.
And I had to smile. Because it didn't come from a business degree or a master plan, it came from all of this.
It started in a recording studio in Melbourne, massaging to Enya while drums played in the background. A business called Gaia Healing. No plan, no roadmap, just pure going with the flow.
Then a quieter life — a stay-at-home girlfriend on a farm in Port Macquarie, taken care of, no need to work. But something in me wouldn't stay quiet. So I set up a table in the paddock.
Then I left—the farm, the relationship, the security. And started Me Time from a single room inside a hairdressing salon. It grew into a larger room in a dietitian's clinic, then a house, then a real business with contractors, multiple rooms, sporting events, and a community.
A Young Entrepreneur Business Award finalist nomination I never saw coming. Five years of something I was genuinely proud of.
Then, in March 2020, I walked away from it all and moved to Brisbane. It made no sense at the time but the urge was just bigger than me. I went to work alongside 40 other therapists inside someone else's vision. Three weeks later, the world shut down. The timing was good on that one.
I stayed for five years. Watching. Learning. Something quietly forming.
