ITEM 102: 👣 The Simple 10-Minute Nightly Routine That Finally Fixed My Nocturia 👣
For many years, I have suffered from a frustrating, exhausting issue that completely disrupted my sleep: nocturia (urinating in the night).
If you are waking up multiple times every single night to run to the toilet, you know exactly how draining it is for your energy, your body, and your mind.
As an integrated therapist, I have spent years searching for solutions. I have tried structural adjustments, metabolic supports (bicarb, liver detox teas, reduction of water intake at night etc) and even dove deep into my frequency work. And while those modalities have supported my health beautifully in so many other areas, this specific nighttime issue remained a stubborn puzzle I just couldn't solve.
Until three weeks ago.
I decided to try a completely natural, zero-cost experiment, and the results have been nothing short of life-changing for my sleep.
Every single night before bed, I now spend 10 minutes marching on Epsom salts.
Since starting this, my nocturia has completely resolved. To make sure it wasn't just a fluke, I experimented by skipping the routine on a few nights. Sure enough, on the nights I didn't march on the salts, I was straight back to waking up and weeing through the night. On the nights I do it, I sleep peacefully.
Why is this simple routine working so beautifully?
It comes down to a perfect combination of physics and biochemistry working with your body’s natural biology:
Activating the "Calf Muscle Pump": Gravity naturally pulls fluid down into our lower legs and feet during the day. The moment you lie flat in bed, that pooled fluid suddenly floods back into your bloodstream. Your kidneys detect this sudden volume increase, go into overdrive to filter it, and force you awake to empty your bladder. By marching right before bed, your calf muscle (often called the "second heart") physically pumps that pooled fluid back up into general circulation before your head hits the pillow, taking the midnight workload off your kidneys.
Calming the Bladder Tissue: Epsom salts are pure magnesium sulfate. By marching on them, the thin, highly absorbent skin on the soles of your feet absorbs a concentrated dose of magnesium right before sleep. Magnesium is nature's ultimate muscle and nerve relaxant. It stabilizes the nerve signals to the bladder's detrusor muscle, preventing the premature spasms and contractions that make you feel like you urgently have to go, allowing the bladder to hold fluid comfortably all night long.
If you are tired of fractured sleep and constantly waking up in the night, I highly recommend giving this a go. It is a gentle, elegant, and practical way to support your physical body so you can finally get the deep, restorative rest you deserve.
