Dementia Australia estimates that 446,500 Australians are living with dementia and 1.7 million people are involved in their care.

This Dementia Action Week (21-27 September 2026), we're encouraging greater understanding, compassion, and awareness by exploring how the language we use can influence perceptions, reduce stigma, and support people living with dementia to feel respected, valued, and included.

What a fantastic two days at the Care Expo Brisbane! 💙

The Right at Home Brisbane South team had such a wonderful time attending the Care Expo on Friday and Saturday, meeting so many lovely people from across our community.

It was a great opportunity to chat with individuals, families, carers and other organisations about aged care, Support at Home and the different ways we can help people remain safe, independent and comfortable in their own homes. 🏡

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand to say hello, ask questions, have a chat or take part in some of our activities. We loved meeting you all!

We also made some fantastic new connections with other providers and community organisations, and we’re looking forward to continuing those conversations and working together to better support people across Brisbane South.

Thank you to everyone involved in putting together such a wonderful event.
