Founded in 1905 by Gozaemon Masunaga in Fukui, Japan, Masunaga has spent more than a century crafting some of the world’s finest eyewear. Every frame is still made in its spiritual home of Fukui, preserving a legacy of Japanese craftsmanship without compromise.

Even its more contemporary designs, like these blue acetate frames, remain connected to that history. Subtle metal detailing draws on the language of traditional Japanese metalwork — a recurring Masunaga signature that brings a sense of heritage to an otherwise distinctly modern frame.
