Hello everyone,
I’m Hitesh Patel, Director of Afino Care Pty Ltd.

Afino Care was established to deliver professional, reliable, and participant-first disability support. With over 3 years of frontline experience in the NDIS sector, including supporting participants with mental health and complex needs, and qualifications in Public Health (Advanced) & Physiotherapy, I lead our team with a focus on safety, capacity building, and evidence-based care.

Our services include:

• Supported Independent Living (SIL)
• Complex nursing care
• Mental health-informed support
• Capacity building & independence

🎄 As we approach Christmas and the New Year, it’s a moment to pause and reflect—while recognising that care and support continue 24/7 for the people who rely on us.

The disability services sector is built on dedication. Providers, support workers, nurses, coordinators, and allied health professionals work tirelessly, often during busy and challenging times. While the work can be demanding, the true reward lies in the positive impact we make in people’s lives every day.

During this festive season, I encourage everyone to prioritise self-care. Take a break where possible, spend time with family and friends, and check in on one another.

A heartfelt thank you to all professionals working on Christmas Day and through the New Year, supporting participants and sharing these special moments with them. Your compassion and commitment truly make a difference.

Your provider’s role is to deliver safe, person-centred supports and services.

An independent advocate’s role is to represent you – and only you – without conflict or competing interests.

Providers can share factual information about NDIS services and refer you to independent advocacy organisations. But they cannot represent you as your advocate.

Separating these roles keeps boundaries clear and your rights protected.
