Christmas might be the most wonderful time of the year, but for our ears, it can also be one of the most demanding.

Busy restaurants, noisy Christmas parties, family gatherings with everyone talking at once, conversations around the Christmas lunch table, and the Boxing Day cricket commentary all put our hearing to the test.

This week is Dementia Action Week (21–27 September) and Selective Hearing is encouraging people, particularly those aged 50 and over, to make hearing checks part of their regular health routine.

Growing evidence suggests that addressing hearing loss early may help reduce the risk of dementia, highlighting the importance of regular hearing checks and early support.

Not every day do we get a world-class drummer through our clinic! 🥁
We were thrilled to welcome Eden Bahar, who is currently touring the world with Cirque du Soleil.
With the high levels of sound exposure that come with his profession, Eden understands the importance of looking after his hearing health. He makes a point of having his hearing tested every year, wherever his touring schedule takes him around the world.
It’s fantastic to see a professional musician being so proactive about his hearing and making hearing health a priority. 🎶

Meet Leonie! Leonie surprised us today with these absolute masterpieces and we feel incredibly blessed to have received such thoughtful and heartfelt gifts. ❤️

The pattern is called 'The Leaf' and each rug takes approximately 70 hours to create. That’s an amazing 210 hours of time, love and dedication that has gone into creating these three beautiful works of art.

It continues to be such a privilege to look after both Leonie and Pete's hearing health and hearing aids (close to a decade). Thank you so much, Leonie for your generosity, kindness and thoughtfulness. Your beautiful handmade rugs will be treasured for many years to come.
