Want to help improve coeliac disease testing?

No gluten challenge. Just a blood test. Big impact.

We’re running a blood‑collection‑only study at JM Clinical (Woolloongabba) to evaluate a potential new blood test called Novoleukin‑C.

It’s designed to measure how the immune system responds to gluten in adults with coeliac disease. Your involvement could help make coeliac testing easier, more accurate, and more personalised.

What it’s like to take part

🔬 NEW COELIAC DISEASE TREATMENT BEING TESTED – COULD YOU HELP?

We're looking for participants for a clinical trial testing FB102 - a new therapy that might help protect against gluten damage in people with coeliac disease.

This study involves a monitored gluten challenge to see if FB102 can prevent the usual harmful effects.

🌩️ Our first youth forum was a hit - lightning and all!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us on Saturday .bne for Shape Your Future: Coeliac Clinical Trials Forum for Young Adults.

Despite storm clouds rolling in (and lightning flashing mid-discussion ⚡️), no one wanted to leave - the room was buzzing with conversation, questions, and stories.

We were blown away by the enthusiasm, including how far some young people travelled to be part of it!

Highlights from the discussion included:
⭐️ Why young adults are underrepresented in coeliac research - and why that needs to change
⭐️ What really happens in a clinical trial (yes, we talked gluten challenges!)
⭐️ How past trials have already helped change what we know about coeliac disease
⭐️ How easy it is to get involved in research - with no pressure and full support

This was the first event of its kind in Australia, and the response showed just how ready young people are to have their voices heard in shaping the future of coeliac disease care.
