We’re feeling pretty grateful to share that Andri and Alex are joining Aim Psychology full time.

Having two wonderful psychologists choose to make Aim their primary workplace means a lot to us. We’re incredibly lucky to have such a thoughtful, talented and dedicated team, and we think it’s a pretty good sign that they enjoy being part of Aim as much as we love having them here.

The other exciting news? Their move to full-time means more appointments will become available from the end of August.

If you’ve been waiting for an appointment with Andri or Alex, keep an eye out for new availability.

We’re so happy to have you both with us, Andri and Alex!

So ... with humble hesitation, Mia’s first blog post is available on our website.

MEET ALEX OLLIVER
Psychologist

You’d hope every psychologist is compassionate, client-focused and free from judgement, so what might make Alex the right psychologist for you?

After navigating corporate life, consultancy and his own business, Alex took extended paternity leave to reevaluate his priorities, return to university and reemerge as a
psychologist determined to make a genuine difference in people’s psychological flexibility, relationships and motivation. He therefore brings real-world experience of understanding the pressures of modern life, families and the perils of burnout.

Dividing his time between private practice and public health, he comes to psychology from a behavioural perspective – always mindful of how our pasts shape us, but with a focus on helping you be better today than you were yesterday. Alex has a particular interest in alcohol and drugs, sleep, anxiety, depression, personality disorders and couples’ therapy.

Originally from England, Alex now owns a bluey, is obsessed with AFL and puts on a hoodie if the temperature dips below 20 degrees.
