Today's Psychology Today's Psychology provides psychology services to the North Brisbane area.

Today's Psychology is a registered psychology practice in Queensland, serving the northside of Brisbane. For over 15 years, our psychologists have worked with children, teens, adults and older adults in independent practice, hospitals and in school settings. When you seek therapy, it is because you want to change something about yourself or your situation, but are unsure of how to do it on your own. Anxiety, depression, loss, addiction, past traumas, relationship issues and a raft of other problems can rob your life of pleasure, satisfaction, purpose and enjoyment, often leaving us feeling out of control and unsafe. We offer to help with making these changes, helping you to get the most out of your life, getting you back in control and feeling like you have direction again.

Among many things, we as a clinic value continuous improvement and deliberate practice, and consider them to be integral to our ongoing efforts to provide our people with the best service we can.

A crucial part of this of course includes obtaining valuable feedback from our clients and, more importantly, acting on them.

This is why for the next two weeks, Today's Psychology is happy to run our annual Understanding Your Experiences survey, where our people get to tell us how they have felt about the service they've been receiving.

We love this feedback, and look forward to hearing from them!

The first semester of our 2026 Masterclass Series at Today’s Psychology has been a favourite and due to the high demand for these sessions, we have now released the schedule and topics for Semester 2.
These Masterclasses are short, structured, educational sessions designed to help you learn practical tools you can use in everyday life. They are ideal if you’re looking to build skills, strengthen wellbeing, or refresh strategies you may already be familiar with.
What is a Masterclass?
Our Masterclasses are:
Educational & skill-based (not therapy groups)
Highly structured and workshop-style
They compliment individual therapy sessions
Led by our clinicians as instructors
Focused on learning and practical application, rather than personal emotional processing
Research based from neuroscience and neurobiology
Short-term and accessible, with each session standing alone
They’re a great option if you enjoy learning, want practical takeaways, or are looking for support in addition to your regular therapy sessions.
Who are these Masterclasses for?
People wanting practical tools they can apply straight away
People interested in CBT, mindfulness, habits, and wellbeing science
Those who prefer learning-focused sessions without group sharing requirements
People looking to get the full value of their Mental Health Care Plan - complimenting individual therapy by accessing the 10 group sessions which attract a rebate
You’re welcome to attend one session or multiple—each Masterclass stands on its own.

Managing Anxiety: Recognize, Regroup, Redirect
Step 1: Recognize
🛑 Pause and recognize the signs. Headaches, jaw tightness, or even restless legs might be your body’s way of saying, “I need attention.” When you notice these signs, you’re already on the path to managing anxiety effectively. 🌿
Step 2: Regroup
🌸 Regrouping is about grounding yourself. Try this: Close your eyes, take five deep breaths, and focus on the present moment. Anxiety thrives on chaos, but you can find peace in stillness. 🌈
Step 3: Redirect
🛤️ Practice turning anxious moments into growth opportunities. The next time you feel overwhelmed, try redirecting your focus to something positive—like gratitude or a calming activity. You have the tools to thrive! 🌼

Managing Anxiety: Recognize, Regroup, Redirect
Step 1: Recognize
💡 “Awareness is the first step toward change.” Take a moment today to check in with yourself. How does anxiety show up for you? Recognizing your triggers and symptoms is the first step toward long-term peace. 🌈
Step 2: Regroup
💭 “Anxiety doesn’t have to control you.” Pause and reflect on what’s happening. Take a deep breath, and approach your thoughts with kindness and curiosity. Regrouping is a powerful way to calm the chaos. 💖
Step 3: Redirect
💪 Redirection is your superpower. When anxiety hits, ask yourself: What can I do right now to feel safe and grounded? Whether it’s breathing deeply or listening to calming music, redirecting your energy can change your perspective. 🌟

Managing Anxiety: Recognize, Regroup, Redirect
Step 1: Recognize
🌟 The first step to managing anxiety is recognition. Listen to your body—are you feeling tense, restless, or short of breath? These can be signs of anxiety. Identifying them early gives you the power to take control before they escalate. 💪💙
Step 2: Regroup
🧘‍♀️ When anxiety starts to spiral, take a step back. Pause. Breathe deeply. Remind yourself: This feeling is temporary, and I can handle it. Regrouping helps you regain control and refocus your mind. 🌟
Step 3: Redirect
🌞 Turn anxious thoughts into opportunities for calm. Redirect your focus with a simple practice—drink a glass of water, take a walk, or repeat a positive mantra like “This feeling will pass.” Small actions can create big shifts. 🌿
