💙 NATIONAL CARERS WEEK 2026 💙
This week, we recognise and celebrate the incredible unpaid carers across Australia who dedicate so much of their lives to supporting someone they love.
💙 To the parents caring for children with disabilities or additional needs.
💙 To the partners, siblings, grandparents and family members providing ongoing care.
💙 To those juggling work, appointments, therapies, medications, school, family life and everything in between.
💙 To those who put their own needs aside to make sure someone else is supported.
💙 To those who are exhausted but keep showing up, even on the hardest days.
💙 We see you 💙 We appreciate you 💙 You matter too
Being a carer is filled with love, but it can also be physically, mentally and emotionally exhausting. Behind the smiles are often sleepless nights, endless appointments, advocacy and challenges that others don't always see.
At Little Supports 3D, we understand how important the little things can be in making everyday life just that little bit easier.
This National Carers Week, let's recognise the incredible contribution carers make and remind them that they deserve support, understanding and time for themselves too.
As a mum and a carer myself to my three children this week means a lot to me.
💙 This is my little boy, Theo. 💙
Theo is 5 years old and has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Level 3, Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) and ADHD.
Theo is non-verbal and uses visual supports and his Proloquo2Go to communication and help express his wants, needs and feelings.
Being Theo's mum is one of the most rewarding parts of my life, but being a parent and a carer comes with challenges that many people don't see or understand.
It's the endless appointments, therapies, advocating, managing emotions, supporting communication, navigating everyday routines and constantly thinking ahead to make sure his needs are met.
It's celebrating the little milestones that might seem small to others but mean absolutely everything to us.
It's the sleepless nights, the exhaustion, the overwhelming days and sometimes feeling like you're running on empty.
But it's also the love, the laughter, the cuddles, the achievements and watching Theo grow and learn in his own unique way.
Being a carer doesn't mean we have it all together.
Some days are amazing, and other days are incredibly hard. Sometimes we're just trying to make it through the day.
And while people often say, "I don't know how you do it," the reality is that we just do. Because our children need us, and we love them more than words can explain.
To every parent, grandparent, partner, sibling and unpaid carer:
I see you.
I see the sacrifices you make, the battles you fight behind closed doors and the strength it takes to keep showing up, even when you're exhausted.
You deserve to be recognised, supported and appreciated, not just during Carers Week but every single day.
You are more than just a carer. Your wellbeing matters too.

This video was taken on our way to the zoo, and Theo was SUPER excited because he knew he was going to see his favourite animals… the ELEPHANTS! 🐘
