Fibre is one of the most important nutrients for long-term health, but if it’s leaving you bloated, uncomfortable or constipated, your body may be giving you useful information. Sometimes the issue isn’t the fibre itself, it’s digestion, gut bacteria, motility, or an underlying gut imbalance that needs attention first.

I thought it was time to share MY story 💗

My journey into Naturopathy began with my own health struggles. For years, I experienced persistent gastrointestinal issues that no one seemed able to explain. I went through countless appointments, scans and scopes, yet everything kept coming back “normal.” Despite how unwell I felt, I was often told that nothing was wrong or that it might simply be stress. Medications were prescribed, doses were increased, and still my symptoms continued! It was incredibly frustrating to feel like I didn’t have answers for what was happening in my own body. Everything changed when I found a Naturopath.
Instead of dismissing my symptoms, they listened. He looked deeper into my health, helped me understand what my body was trying to communicate, and worked with me to uncover the underlying drivers of my symptoms. For the first time, things started to make sense. Through a personalised and holistic approach, I was able to experience lasting improvements in my digestive health and beyond.

This experience completely changed the way I viewed healthcare. It showed me how powerful it can be when someone truly listens, investigates thoroughly, and supports the body rather than simply suppressing symptoms. I knew I wanted to be able to offer that same support to others.

Today, as a Naturopath, my goal is to help people feel heard, understood and empowered in their health journey. If you’ve ever felt dismissed, confused by your symptoms, or like you’re not getting the answers you deserve, you’re not alone, and there are ways to explore your health on a deeper level.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but chasing skinny can be a dangerous game…
Your body isn’t a trend. Undereating, overtraining, stressing your nervous system, and ignoring the signals your body is giving you, isn’t health.
True wellness looks like energy, nourishment, balanced hormones, strength, regular cycles, good digestion, and feeling at home in your body, not constantly trying to shrink it!

Stop wearing exhaustion as a badge of honour.
Your body was never designed to stay in survival mode 24/7. Constant stress, overworking, overcommitting, and “pushing through” keeps your nervous system stuck in fight or flight. When the body stays in fight or flight for too long, it starts redirecting energy away from important processes such as healing, digestion, hormones, immunity and recovery - just to keep you functioning!
This is where burnout can begin, and you may experience symptoms like:

😴 Constant fatigue
😴 Feeling wide but exhausted
😴 Brain fog
😴 Anxiety
😴 Poor sleep
😴 Hormonal imbalances
😴 Frequent illness
😴 Irritability or emotional overwhelm
😴 Digestive changes or IBS-like symptoms

Adrenal fatigue is a term we often use to describe the feeling of complete depletion after prolonged stress. While the adrenals themselves aren’t necessarily “failing”, long term stress can dysregulate the nervous system, cortisol rhythm and the body’s overall ability to cope.

This is your reminder that rest is not laziness. It is necessary for biological repair. Your nervous system needs safety, slowness, nourishment and recovery to function properly.
You do not have to earn rest, and the most productive thing you can do for your health is to slow down.

Thrush isn’t random. For some people it can be daily occurrence, and for others it can flare at any point during the cycle or even worsen unpredictably depending on the phase you’re in.

Hormonal shifts can change the vaginal environment, making it easier for yeast to overgrow. Blood sugar also plays a key role here. When it’s elevated or fluctuating, yeast has more fuel, immunity can be reduced, and inflammation can increase.
