Good sleep plays a huge role in recovery, pain management, and overall wellbeing. If you’re struggling to switch off at night, try these simple tips 👇

1️⃣ Set a sleep routine
Go to bed and wake up at the same time each day to train your body clock.

2️⃣ Create a wind-down ritual
Spend 20–30 minutes before bed doing calming activities like reading or gentle breathing.

3️⃣ Use your bed for sleep only
Avoid screens, work, or TV in bed to strengthen the link between bed and sleep.

4️⃣ Watch stimulants and timing
Limit caffeine and ni****ne in the late afternoon and avoid intense exercise close to bedtime.

5️⃣ Optimise your sleep space
Keep your bedroom dark, quiet, cool, and comfortable to encourage deeper sleep.

Today, our team shifts from the community to the classroom as we host the 'Evidence-Based Retraining of Lower Limb Skills after Stroke' workshop, led by Dr. Simone Dorsch and Sarah Fitzhenry.

Clinical excellence isn't just about what we do in the community; it’s about how we constantly challenge ourselves to be better.

We are proud to be the host venue for StrokeEd’s sold-out workshop: 'Evidence-Based Retraining of Lower Limb Skills after Stroke,' led by Dr Simone Dorsch and Sarah Fitzhenry.

For three days in May, our clinic will transform into a hub of high-level clinical reasoning. We’ll be diving deep into:
✅ The biomechanics of sitting, standing, and walking.
✅ Advanced analysis of movement problems.
✅ Implementing evidence-based training strategies to optimise motor skill acquisition.

Seeing our clinicians from across the region come together to sharpen these skills is exactly what we mean when we talk about raising the bar.
