Reintroducing Amie!

As the Founder and Director of The Right Coordination, Amie established the business with a clear vision: to provide genuine, person centred support that empowers people to make informed choices, build independence, and live the life they choose. With a background in community services and extensive experience in support coordination, she's passionate about delivering a service where participants feel heard, respected, and supported every step of the way.
The most rewarding part of Amie's role is helping participants make decisions with confidence and watching them thrive as they achieve goals that are meaningful to them. She believes that every person deserves the opportunity to exercise choice and control, and is committed to ensuring participants have the knowledge, resources, and support to do just that.

Working predominantly with people living with psychosocial disability and autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Amie understands that no two journeys are the same. Her approach is centred on building genuine relationships, understanding each person's unique circumstances, and tailoring supports that reflect their strengths, aspirations, and individual needs.
As both a Support Coordinator and business owner, Amie is committed to creating a service that values compassion, transparency, and collaboration. She works closely with participants, families, and service providers to develop strong support networks that promote confidence, independence, and meaningful outcomes.

Outside of work, Amie enjoys bushwalking, the gym, and relaxing with a good glass of wine. She believes maintaining balance and wellbeing enables them to bring positivity, empathy, and energy to the people they support.

Amie's vision is to redefine what exceptional support coordination looks like, creating a service where participants feel genuinely valued, empowered to make their own decisions, and supported to achieve lasting outcomes. They believe that great support coordination is about more than connecting people with services; it's about building confidence, fostering independence, and helping individuals create a life that is meaningful to them

We just want to say thank you to everyone who wrote, shared, submitted, called, posted, protested, advocated and kept showing up....even when you were already running on empty.

This community fought so hard, and that fight mattered.

Every email, every story, every submission, every post counted.

Tonight, it’s okay to feel whatever you need to feel.

We are still here businessas usual.

And we are still fighting for an NDIS that truly belongs to the people it was created for.

Introducing Cass! Cass is a very experienced Support Coordinator joining the Right Co team from the Gold Coast.

"I was drawn to support coordination because I genuinely value helping people feel informed, heard and confident when navigating the NDIS. I enjoy working alongside participants and families to make sense of their options, connect with the right supports and take practical steps toward their goals.

My professional experience has given me strong insight into the disability sector, particularly supporting participants and families with complex needs, functional capacity considerations, therapy recommendations and NDIS-related documentation. I have enjoyed working in areas where clear communication, careful coordination and a person-centred approach make a meaningful difference. I’m especially passionate about helping people understand their plans, build strong support teams and feel more in control of the services they access.

I love spending time with my beautiful family, whether we’re heading off on a weekend adventure, planning our next overseas trip, or juggling the usual sporting commitments. I’m not the one on the field, but I do like to think spectating counts as a sport in its own right. I also love to read, so you’ll often find me with a book or my Kindle in one hand and a coffee in the other.

I bring a calm, organised and collaborative approach to support coordination. I take the time to listen, understand each person’s circumstances and explain information in a way that feels clear and manageable. My focus is on building trust, reducing overwhelm and helping participants and families make informed decisions. I aim to be practical, responsive and respectful, while keeping the participant’s goals, preferences and rights at the centre of every conversation.

My vision is to empower participants to feel confident, respected and supported. I want clients to feel they have a coordinator who listens, follows through and helps them understand their choices. By working together, my goal is to support each person to build capacity, strengthen their support networks and move toward outcomes that are meaningful to them."

We cannot pretend that its not a very challenging time for the sector right now. We all are feeling the same way about the abundance of change and frustration.

But we can choose to continue to show up for the people we support.
We can control the way we respond, because as a sector we are nothing if not resilient.

One of the most eye opening experiences from the recent disability expo was being repeatedly approached by service providers asking:

"Can you get me clients?"

This is categorically NOT how Support Coordination works.

A good Support Coordinator will assist you to make you OWN choices based on what you need, and share their industry knowledge rooted in experience and reputation.

Independent support coordination helps you use your NDIS plan the way you choose, building connections, finding services and increasing independence.

It’s about your goals, not someone else’s agenda.
