St John of God Bunbury Hospital

St John of God Bunbury Hospital St John of God Bunbury Hospital is a leading provider of health care in the south-west of Western Australia, located 2 hours from Perth.

Established in 1927, St John of God Bunbury Hospital is a 120-bed private hospital. As part of St John of God Health Care, Australia's largest not for profit healthcare provider, we offer a variety of services including acute medical, surgical, day stay, maternity, palliative care, renal dialysis, oncology and a range of community-based services. Located 2 hours from Perth, we service the communit

y of Bunbury, reaching into the South-West of Western Australia. The hospital's recent $14.5 million expansion and redevelopment enables us to provide up-to-date medical facilities in contemporary surroundings for our patients. St John of God Bunbury Hospital is a division of St John of God Health Care, one of Australia's largest private health care providers and largest Catholic not for profit private healthcare group. In addition, our co-location with the public Bunbury Hospital increases the range of services available, ensuring the best possible care for patients and minimising the need for people to travel to Perth or other centres for treatment. Extensive clinical and specialist services - including radiology, pathology, medical imaging, dietetics, allied health and hydrotherapy - are available in our Medical Centre and we have more than 200 accredited permanent and visiting medical practitioners. The hospital also provides community-based services such as alcohol and other drug services via our South West Community Drug Service Team, a volunteer program, an outreach medical service and a satellite renal dialysis unit in Busselton.

Supporting those affected by cancer, together 🌸

Our volunteers brought the community together with a craft and cake stall in support of Daffodil Day last week, raising more than $2000 for the Cancer Council Western Australia and our very own Cancer Services.

This year, we're proud to shine a spotlight on the South West Cancer Accommodation Centre, which provides a welcoming home away from home for regional cancer patients and their loved ones during treatment.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated and supported the day. Your generosity helps us continue providing care, comfort and support when it's needed most.

Thank you Bunbury SOUP VAN for sharing your appreciation.
Our caregivers have helped make these donations possible by bringing in soup and canned meals
Thank you to our amazing Pastoral Care team for leading the way with this initiative and helping coordinate the donations. It's just another way that they support and care for our South West community.

Thank you to St John of God Bunbury Caregivers for 440 cans of soup and meals. Your donation helps us to give even when we have run out of hot soup! This enables us to always be able to give. Thank you for everything you have donated.

You're in safe hands with our surgical nursing team.
Mandy Newman has worked on our Ferns surgical nursing ward for more than 20 years and there is no team she'd rather be working alongside.
Mandy loves the dynamic nature of surgical nursing where every day brings new challenges and learning opportunities.
"Being part of a patient’s journey through surgery, often at a vulnerable time in their life, is incredibly rewarding. I value the strong teamwork on the ward and the ability to make a real difference through safe, compassionate, and high-quality care," Mandy said.
Thank you Mandy for your dedication to nursing and to our patients.

Today we took a few minutes out from our busy day to celebrate Clancy's birthday!
Our beautiful boy is a 1-year-old. Clancy is our caregiver wellbeing dog which means he is training to work in our hospital and provide wellbeing and support.
Happy birthday Clancy!! 🐾🥳
He is still putting smiles on the faces of our caregivers. We'll share some more photos from Clancy's big day on our feed this week.
We know our caregivers will want to wish Clancy a happy birthday!
