🌸 Expressions of Interest Now Open!🌳

We're so excited to introduce Bloom'n Bodies™ and Branch'n Bodies™ —two original, evidence-informed puberty education programs designed by Kaha Kids OT.

Created with neurodivergent children and their families in mind, these programs provide a safe, practical and engaging way to learn about puberty, body changes, emotions, self-care and growing up with confidence.

✨ suitable for ages 7–15 years

🌸 Bloom'n Bodies™ – for girls
🌳 Branch'n Bodies™ – for boys

Our small group programs are designed to:
🧡 Build confidence and self-awareness
🧡 Encourage open, age-appropriate conversations
🧡 Support children and families through puberty
🧡 Create a positive, inclusive learning experience

We're currently taking Expressions of Interest to help shape our first groups. If you think your child would benefit, we'd love to hear from you!

No you aren’t dreaming…..we really did come to work in our pyjamas 💤

Today our team embraced national pyjama day a little early, wearing our comfiest pjs to help raise awareness for children in foster care.

A big thank you to everyone who joined in and supported such a meaningful cause. Together, we're helping shine a light on the important work of The Pyjama Foundation and the difference they make in the lives of children.

Matariki is the Māori New Year, marked by the rising of the Matariki star cluster. It is a time to remember those who have passed, celebrate the present, reconnect with whānau, and look ahead with hope and purpose.

At Kaha Kids OT, these values resonate with the work we do every day. We are privileged to support children and their families as they build confidence, develop new skills, and participate in the everyday activities that bring joy, connection, and a sense of belonging. Every journey is unique, and every step forward is worth celebrating.

Day 1 at OTX!

What an incredible first day of learning!

Today was packed with inspiring workshops covering robotics, AI in occupational therapy, handwriting, interoception, visual supports, and supporting children who are hard of hearing. So many practical ideas that we can't wait to bring back to our clients and families.

We also loved exploring the resource and equipment stalls along with the beautifully designed alerting and calming sensory spaces that were full of inspiration.
And, of course, there was no shortage of drinks, ice cream, and delicious food to keep us fuelled throughout the day!
We're looking forward to another fantastic day tomorrow and bringing home even more ideas to support the children and families we work with. 🧡🖤

Road trip to OTX!

Our OTs, Ingrid and Bree, are on the road and heading to the OT Exchange Conference in Brisbane!

They're looking forward to a few days of learning, connecting with other OTs, and discovering new ideas and evidence-based strategies to bring back to Kaha Kids and the children and families we support.

Conference prep is in full swing📚

Our OTs, Ingrid and Bree, are busy preparing for next week's OT Exchange Conference (OTX) in Brisbane.

The biggest challenge? Deciding which presentations to attend! With so many inspiring topics and expert speakers, narrowing down their schedules isn't easy when every session looks worthwhile.

We're excited to learn, connect with OTs from across Australia, and bring back fresh ideas, practical strategies, and new knowledge to better support the children and families we work with every day.
