Naturopathy can support your health in a variety of ways! 🌿

You might be feeling stressed, anxious and have a lack of motivation for everyday tasks. You could be experiencing digestive issues such as bloating, pain and discomfort, constipation or food intolerances.

Naturopathy can also support you if you have a diagnosed health concern. Trish often works with diagnosed issues such as infertility, insomnia, depression and autoimmune conditions such as Hashimoto’s.

Working with a naturopath can also help uncover the root cause of unexplained symptoms. For example, if you’re struggling to achieve weight loss goals, Trish will look for signs of an underactive thyroid and hormonal imbalances.

Even if you’re feeling good, you can still work with a naturopath to prevent future health issues. People often choose to do this if they have a strong family history of a chronic condition such as diabetes or heart disease.

Book an appointment with Trish online via our website or give us a call on 4152 2372.

The Self Care Challenge!

It seems too simple, but drinking plenty of water is one of the easiest self-care strategies out there.

Hydration is needed for every system of the body, including your brain and nervous system. Dehydration can make it harder for you to focus and get things done, which can make life more stressful.

Start by adding 1-2 extra cups of water per day. From there, work your way up until you’re drinking 1.5L-3L (depending on your age and physical activity level).

If you’re not a big fan of plain water, herbal teas are a great option – reach for some calming herbal tea blends for double the self-care.

Did you know that you can give your mushrooms a sunbath to boost their Vitamin D content?

Place them in direct sunlight for at least 15 minutes with the gill side (the underside with the frilly bits) facing up. Use them within five days for best results.

The extra Vitamin D remains stable even after cooking, so you can enjoy them any way you like. Just five average-sized mushrooms exposed to sunlight can deliver up to 1000 IU of Vitamin D!

Q. What is Gluteal Tendinopathy?

A. You may not have heard of this condition before, but there is a clue in the name!
Gluteal Tendinopathy is a painful condition that affects the tendons around the glutes, the large muscles on your backside.

It often causes pain and discomfort in the outer hip area and can make simple activities like walking or climbing stairs feel like a challenge.

Women in menopause may experience this condition due to a drop in estrogen levels.
The good news? You can reduce the inflammation and ease the pain with natural methods.
