Dysphagia. What is that?

Dysphagia is the medical term for swallowing difficulty – something most of us do without thinking, 500 to 700 times a day. We swallow during sleep, throughout the day, and even more during meals.

On 19 March, Swallowing Awareness Day shines a light on people with swallowing needs and the role of speech pathologists who help them eat, drink, and live safely.

What a career 🙌
After 40 years of owning and operating BSPC, Jenny White has officially retired. Congratulations on a standout career, Jenny. Words cannot thank you enough for your commitment and passion towards this profession, and towards the countless of people you have supported across areas of communication, voice, and swallowing. We wish Jenny all the best as she now enjoys well-deserved time with her family and grandchildren. ❤️

We are excited to continue upholding the name and values of Bundaberg Speech Pathology Clinic, and can announce that speech pathologists Laura O’Sullivan and Jade Morrison will be stepping into ownership roles.
