We all have a different story and are carrying a unique load. This model helps to build self compassion by mapping your story.

This model invites you to sit down, map your profile and practice some compassion for what you are carrying.

Defusing from the story you are telling yourself can be the birthplace of connection, curiosity and compassion.

Your mind is a storytelling machine. The catch is that our stories are shaped by our emotions, lived experience and culture.

This isn't necessarily a bad thing - but we need to be aware that our stories are just that, a story. An attempt to make meaning, to protect, predict and plan our next actions.

We need enough space from our stories to ensure that we don't miss out on vital information that could help us move forward.

Sometimes our story is getting in the way.

You could start to find space by saying, "I am telling myself the story that......" then assess whether that story is helpful or whether it is creating distance and disconnection.

If people stepped back from their story they may find something they haven't noticed before.
