❤️ A PRIVILEGE WE WILL NEVER TAKE FOR GRANTED ❤️

One of the greatest blessings right now is being able to stay by Jaxson’s side in ICU. After everything our beautiful boy has endured, holding his hand, talking to him, and reminding him we are here means more than words can express. ❤️

This incredibly rare offering is something we are beyond grateful for and will never take for granted.

In China, ICU rules are extremely strict. Most families are only given one hour of visiting each week, and photos or videos are not permitted inside due to privacy and infection-control measures.

Phillip isn’t allowed into the ICU, so Tim and I are taking turns being beside Jaxson and making the most of every precious moment.

The dedication, organisation, and care from the medical team has been incredible to witness.

With little sleep, limited communication, and Jaxson still in a critical condition, each day is challenging but we will do everything we can to help our brave boy rise above this.

A little update on our brave boy, Jaxson…

After an incredibly long 11-hour operation, which was far more complex than first expected, Jaxson has now made it through his first night in ICU.

Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude as, so far, all signs are pointing towards a successful operation. The surgeons were able to remove nearly all of the tumour, and for that we give thanks to God and to the incredible surgical team who cared for our precious boy.

While this is an amazing step forward, the journey is far from over. The next few days remain critical, and Jaxson still has a long road to recovery ahead of him.

Today brings another important milestone as the team prepares to remove his ventilator tube so he can begin breathing on his own. We would be so grateful if you could continue to lift him up in your prayers as he takes this next step.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to every single person who has prayed, shared our story, sent messages, and stood beside our family. Your love and support have carried us through the darkest moments, and we are forever grateful.

Update 💛

Thank you to everyone who has been checking in, praying and thinking of Jaxson today.

It is now 6:30pm in Beijing, and Jaxson is still in surgery. At this stage, we don’t have any news to share.

Please continue to keep Jaxson and the surgical team in your prayers.

We’ll update you as soon as we know more. 🤍

As Jaxson undergoes brain tumour surgery, we humbly ask you to stand with us in prayer.

Heavenly Father,

Today we place our precious Jaxson completely into Your hands.

As he is taken into surgery, let him be surrounded by Your perfect peace. Calm every fear, comfort his heart, and let him know that You are with him every moment. May Your presence fill the operating theatre, bringing peace to everyone who is caring for him.

Lord, we pray for the surgeons, anaesthetists, nurses, and every member of the medical team. Guide their minds, steady their hands, and give them wisdom beyond human understanding. May every decision they make be led by You.

We ask for Your divine protection over Jaxson throughout the entire operation. Watch over every heartbeat, every breath, and every moment. We pray for complete removal of the tumour, protection over his brain, and a surgery free from complications. We ask for healing that only You can provide.

Father, be close to Helen, Tim, and Phillip as they wait. Replace fear with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Give them strength for every moment and remind them that You have never left their side.

Today, we choose faith over fear. We trust that You love Jaxson even more than we do and that his life is safely held in Your hands.

In the powerful name of Jesus we pray.

Tomorrow is one of the biggest days of Jaxson’s journey.

Tomorrow morning at 8:00am Beijing time (10:00am Sydney time), Jaxson will undergo brain surgery.

If you’re able, would you please pause at that time and pray with us?

Pray for Jaxson. Pray for Professor Charlie Teo’s surgical team. Pray for peace, strength and hope.

Day 1 in Beijing 🇨🇳

We had one day to explore this beautiful city before checking into the hospital tomorrow.

For a little while, we put appointments, scans and uncertainty aside and simply made memories together. ❤️

Tomorrow, the next chapter of Jaxson’s journey begins. We’re hopeful, grateful to be here, and ready to fight.

Thank you to everyone who’s supported, prayed for, and stood beside us. Your love means more than you’ll ever know. 💛
