Availability of allied health services as the health system adjusts to the presence of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Busselton Physio and Allied Health and the wider GeoBay Health Centre continue to function at this time providing a range of in person and telehealth based services.

There have been a series of changes to funding over recent weeks that now enable most allied health services to be delivered via telehealth. Chronic disease management, addressing injuries optimally, as well as keeping people active and psychologically well are all imperative at this time. Research has shown good results can be achieved for most clients using a telehealth format.

Telehealth rebates are now available for Medicare (Bulk Billed), Worker’s Compensation, DVA and most private health insurers.

We are adopting recommended best practices for in person consultations, including excluding infected or at risk clients from the premises, physical distancing as appropriate and increased sanitation measures.

The attached chart indicates which of our services are available at present in telehealth and / or in person format.
