Sometimes, ten minutes is all it takes.

❤️ Sometimes, just say YES.

As parents, it's easy to get caught up in the never-ending to-do list.

The washing needs folding.
The dishes need doing.
Emails need answering.
Dinner needs cooking.
The house needs cleaning.

Then a little voice asks...

"Mum, will you play with me?"
"Dad, can we kick the footy?"
"Can we build a cubby?"

Sometimes the answer genuinely has to be no .... and that's okay. We all have responsibilities, and our children don't need us to say yes to everything.

But every now and then, if you can...

💙 Say YES.

Yes to building the cubby.
Yes to another bedtime story.
Yes to dancing in the kitchen.
Yes to getting your feet wet.
Yes to making pancakes for dinner.
Yes to five more minutes.

Because connection doesn't always require hours. Sometimes it's just ten minutes of your undivided attention.

Those ordinary moments, the ones that don't seem important at the time, are often the memories our children carry with them forever.

💙 The washing will wait.
💙 The emails will wait.
💙 The housework will still be there tomorrow.

But childhood doesn't wait.
